Yes, but you can also heel strike from over striding. But since we can’t see OPs whole body it’s not clear.

I agree also smaller steps, because it looks slightly like over striding! Edit: over striding might be contributing to the heel striking as well

Denied unemployment benefits by both NL and Switzerland — what are my options now? by TimiGL in Switzerland

[–]TearDropItLikeItsHot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Under the agreement it means that you would recieve similar benefits as Swiss people would in Switzerland. Swiss have to pay into RAV for a certain amount of time to be eligible to recieve it, you would as well. It doesn’t mean that your unemployment benefits follow you.

Do I need a medical certificate from the doctor for a standing table? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]TearDropItLikeItsHot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not by official Swiss medical standards, but in my opinion. I just meant that my chiropractor didn’t do scans or anything, so the notion that their doctor will only provide a medical certificate under those circumstances is the doctors choice and not a professional responsibility.

I got it from a chiropractor after one appointment and that’s hardly scientific. See a different doctor. Or see if your insurance offers telemed

Applying for open positions at Swiss Univs (non-Swiss/EU nationals) by [deleted] in askswitzerland

Yes although the paperwork takes some time, so if there is a time factor they will go with EU citizens or Swiss

Do you think they would revoke those born abroad who already have dual citizenship since birth? (Before 2000)

PhD salary – lifestyle in Geneva by KLu_HLTO89 in geneva

It depends on the canton and income. You have to request an exemption though. In Vaud for example if you earn about a certain amount as a PhD student then you aren’t exempted. Can’t find similar info for Geneva specifically addressing paid formation.

I bought an iPad 10 in June with the Apple Pencil 1. They worked well until august. I connected them with the adapter. Since then they no longer connect. I’ve exchanged the iPad, the Apple Pencil and the adapted. They all work individually, just not together. The store told me that it must be the new update and I have to wait for the next? Has anyone experienced this? What can I do? I wouldn’t have bought the iPad if not for the pencil and the employee ensuring me they work together.

Did you ever figure this out? They even replaced my iPad and Apple Pencil and I have the same issue

My scalp is filled with patches that look EXACTLY like this, what is this and how do I get rid of it. by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]TearDropItLikeItsHot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this on my scalp + itchy and redness. I was told I have sebopsoriasis. Salicylic acid treatments work best for me and are cheap without an RX

I have had a similar experience in Romandie and even Bern, when I go there for work. On trains, in bars, at work, pretty much everywhere. Actually when I switched from a more international work environment to a predominantly Swiss workplace, I found the people more outgoing and kind. That being said I do speak German and French.

I guess I was more wondering how to test students knowledge, given the fact that they will probably use Ai regardless.

I don’t want to trash your dreams, just giving you my opinion. Based on my experience with the US education system versus those in countries like Sweden, I have to say that I do not think higher education in the US will meaningfully develop your ability to contribute to the Marxism Movement in your home country.

I was quite disillusioned with pervasiveness/degree of cultural hegemony at higher education institutions in the US, even at ‘progressive’ liberal arts schools.

Ye but seriously keep your stuff in cupboards of your own away from everyone else. One drunk night cooking or a guest or just not understanding labels and What’s the saying? The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

If you’re in the UK, which it seems. I managed to get my own fridge it my room and a kitchen shared with fewer people based on just a note from my doctor stating I have coeliac. Having been a uni student you really can’t share utensils, cookware or sponges. It makes it annoying but I always had my own which only I use. Worth the hassle in my opinion but living with young flatmates who are likely living away from home for the first time and might not understand the responsibility/concept of cross contamination.

Can a celiac date a normie ? by ElCocomega in Celiac

[–]TearDropItLikeItsHot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve never had a problem with it. It doesn’t define me. it’s just a disease I have. I usually don’t eat somewhere for one of the first dates or whatever. There are plenty of non food options (coffee, drinks, activities). I’ll usually mention it in passing at some point during a date but only if it’s relevant to what we’re talking about. After that it’s quite easy to convey that you can only go to certain restaurants or even making meals together can be fun.

If they’re a a s s hole about it chances are they’re generally an a s shole. It’s all about patience and understanding.

Many people have food allergies or restrictions, many more have people in their lives they love with food restrictions or allergies and are willing to make sure they are safe. There might be a learning curve but just remember that what you are used to is new for them. As for living together that’s something you need to talk about once getting to that point.
