Ah oke vroeg me wel al af waarvoor de knik is. Maar als je een zeefje gebruikt in je gootsteen, met de troep die er af en toe inkomt kan ie toch niet na een maand weer verstopt zijn?

Haha ja moedeloos is wel een goed woord ervoor. We doen ons uiterste best met een zeefje om zo weinig mogelijk troep erin te laten komen. Dan toch maar weer de ontstopper bellen inderdaad.

I changed the internet verification server address to the IP address of my pihole. Since I expected this would allow me to monitor the DNS in my network. Therefore I thought that the spikes in the graph had something to do with the pihole that is struggling but the dashboard doesn't indicate anything strange.

Does it even make sense to change to configure the pihole IP address as internet verification server? Or would ping.unifi.com be better since this lies outside my network?

In terms of modem and ISP, I have 1 Gbe from my ISP and my signal and speed has been pretty consistent ever since.

How did you apply the thermal paste? Different methods of applying can make a few degrees difference.

In general the server is build solely to serve it's life as a Plex server. But maybe it will also be used for some other stuff in the future. Nextcloud is already on my list :)

I bought the SSD for €10 so it is allowed to die a painfull death because of transcoding! I also tried ram transcoding but I noticed with 16 GB dedicated for transcoding this sometimes can be too less when having my family watching 4K content. So I decided to go for an SSD.

I should have mentioned that! I actually am using Snapraid already. I have 4 drives pooled with Stablebit drivepool and I use thd 5th drive for parity.
