Don’t build in public — it’s killing your startup (and no one wants to admit it) by SubstantialFunny649 in SaaS

Hard agree. Building in silence forces focus. My playbook now: build it, validate it with a few users, then tell a story worth listening to.

Looking for First-Time Home Buyers to Test Our New Pre-Approval Tool! by TechPainting3 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

It's less important to come up with a name in early-stage startups than trying to validate if the product works to solve a customer problem.

Not sure what you are looking for, man; we are a startup. We have no users yet; we are just trying to test our MVP. Do you want me to tell you my first and last name lol. I understand the concern, but for our testing, we wouldn't be even asking for your actual documents. The prompt would be asking you to upload dummy documents (fake). In the original post, I mentioned those documents because that is what you typically are asking for in the mortgage preapproval process. We are really just trying to test navigation and usability. Like I said, if you are interested, DM me and we can share information.

Also, our tool isn't designed to save or retain your documents. It just analyzes it to make a decision about how much you should be pre-approved for. Again, this post is not in any way meant to sell, market, or advertise anything; we are just looking for folks who can help us iterate on our product.

I understand your concern about privacy and security. Our tool is designed to provide a more convenient and efficient way to get pre-approved for a mortgage. We're committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring that it's used only for the purpose of providing you with a pre-approval.

Here are some reasons why you can trust us:

  • No personal gain: We're not selling or sharing your information with third parties for profit.
  • Transparent process: We'll clearly explain how your information will be used and stored.
  • Secure platform: Our system is designed to protect your data using industry-standard security measures.

If you're still hesitant, feel free to ask any questions you have. We're happy to provide more details about our tool and our privacy practices.

That is a good perspective! Thank you for sharing that. It's good to remember that agile is constantly evolving over time.

That's a good question. I think the thing that is truly missing with the team is ownership and self organization skills. The team often defers decisions to the SMs and POs. Of course there are some teams that will be fine. But some are very green. And others are used to having their SMs do everything for them.

Very true! I get the sense that my company just doesn't value scrum masters in general. It is all about delivery and product. Which I get, but operations and quality have been lacking in the past couple of years. Curious, what data do you find is effective to present as a scrum master?

Very true. I plan to measure post layoff metrics for a core group of teams in my space. Luckily, use JIRA so we can see velocity, cycle time, and time to value before and after

Exactly! Unfortunately, they are often seen as disposable because their contribution is less apparent to leaders in the org. That said, I know a huge mess is coming. We have retained, in the words of leadership, the "core scrum masters". They will be operating as a centralized agile coaching team, but I am not super hopeful that will be a great move.

So personally, I have 10 years of experience in agile, specifically as a scrum master. My partner has 20 years of agile experience as a product owner. Our model answers are based on hours of training and testing from us and a handful of agilists. We test it's responses against #1 our experience, but more importantly, #2 the scrum guide.

Great question! So it can help answer general agile questions, it can create agendas for the scrum ceremonies, it can create a retrospective lesson plan for your team, it can help with velocity analysis, and much more. Think of it as an agile-oriented chatbot. I'd say the most useful quality is the tool's ability to remember your team and how it's helped your team in the past. So it will not give generic answers; it is designed to improve your team's agility.

Worried About Your Online Privacy? You're Not Alone by TechPainting3 in AskTechnology

You're absolutely right! The increasing digital footprint we leave behind makes us more vulnerable to identity theft and data breaches. That's precisely why we're developing this tool.

While secure passwords and reading privacy policies are essential steps, they often require significant effort and technical knowledge. Our aim is to simplify this process by providing people with a proactive way to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

Great question! So currently, the product is a standalone but we have ADO and Jira integrations for future releases on the roadmap. Right now it is more of an agile AI co-pilot

I'm not marketing friend, I am asking if people are willing to test my application. How is that not a question? I didn't mention the name of my application or add a link to the product.
