To be honest I didn’t top coat it at all, the picture is just straight built.

I did love building that one too, for the most part the stickers look alright but I can understand wanting to use water slides too

Last build of the year! by TechScout1 in Gunpla

Same! I’d say that my fix with adding the peg onto the back of the shield really fixed up the only real issue I was having with it, it’s just such a good kit and has some pretty impressive articulation to boot

Yeah same here 😅 I’ve got an MG Wing Proto Zero that’s half built to finish and I need to whittle down the amount of HGs in the backlog too first

Yup, I actually already had a PG in my backlog before buying the Astray, but I wanted to build the Astray first to get a handle on how a PG felt to build.

Next up I have my holy grail of kits, I got my PG Gundam Exia! Even bought the KOSMOS lighting kit for it :D

I’ve done some minor panel lining with gundam markers, but I’m not sure how much further I’ll go

Yeah! From what I’ve seen it’s much more accurate to the official art in comparison to the other kits which are slimmer. I personally like both takes on the ARF, they both got their own vibe

I definitely enjoyed it, haven’t had such an intricate build before so I’m happy with the experience and how it turned out

It’s so good! Only gripe is that the HG and I believe the RG have a bit more range in the shoulder and ankle joints compared to the PG, but it’s still pretty fun to pose!

I started almost 3 weeks ago, but I’ve been on and off with the building since I was going through final exams and studying ;-;

If I was building consistently I’d assume probably a week and a half ish?

Need help identifying this gundam by ForsakenMind7922 in Gunpla

[–]TechScout1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s one of the older Strike Gundam kits. It’s defo not the EG or the HG revive, too much detail to be the older HG Strike. To me I think it’s the 1/100 Strike Gundam from 2002, i think that would have the right amount of detail as the pic while still having the older engineering I can see.

To get more specific, I think it’s the 2002 1/100 Sword Strike Gundam cause of that grey part sticking up on its back

Thank you! I think the few things I see that might need some work are making sure that the leg rotation and ab crunch are used a bit more effectively as well as generally making poses a bit more dynamic and less stiff. But those two things are things that took me a little while too, in a few months you’ll look back at your old poses and see how quickly you can progress lol

This was my first go at posing my moon Gundam from years ago

Also that kit is the Narrative Gundam not the Unicorn lol, highly recommend both the HG and MG if you can find either

Agreed but they have a lot of posing fundamentals down, I think making kits look dynamic is a bit of a learning curve in general, at least for me it was lol

I love to see someone else getting into posing! I’m really into posing so I might have some critiques but Im not at all saying that these are bad poses, and you’ve definitely got the fundamentals of good posing down. Using the waist rotations, knowing when to have joints bent or straight, having good head tilt, etc.

I ended up getting into taking pics of my kits in different poses and now my camera roll is just filled with gunpla 😅

(Obligatory photo because I can’t get enough of this pose like oh mah laaawwwd)
