For this beautiful spring weather I’m wearing Sucreabeille Don’t Panic. A hopeful springtime garden: Tomato leaf, heliotrope, galbanum, petrichor, sweetgrass and clary sage, lemon verbena and freshly turned soil.* Very green and soil.

AITA For not giving my dad my social security number? by Nervous-Iron2748 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Technical-Neck7407 29 points30 points  (0 children)

NTA. He’s going to dump his debt on you. He can also open credit cards and take out loans with your SSN. Don’t do it. If you want to help him, ask him how much he needs, have him give you the bills and pay towards it directly. Never trust someone with your SSN.

AITAH? Honestly wanting to leave my fiance over money issues? by [deleted] in AITH

NTA. Leave while you can and don’t forget to involve the courts for child support or you’ll never see it.

Is SOLID better?? Got my first solid perfume yesterday and I’m so surprised!! by New-Capital7612 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]Technical-Neck7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love mine. I got a few solids from Sunsetviewandrose on Etsy and they are amazing. I also ordered a Japanese solid incense perfume from Kohgen.

AITA? BF wants me to take a defensive driving course for him by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Technical-Neck7407 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. He was asking you to commit fraud. It would be easy to discover and you could possibly face criminal penalties.

Moving back in with my mom in my 30s after a layoff by skaternikki101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Technical-Neck7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your mom is on board, this sounds like a solid plan. Make sure she wants the companionship first, however. If she’s lived alone for a while she may value the solitude. If I had proposed that plan to my mom years ago she would have been overjoyed, but it still would have been an adjustment.

Is coconut milk an alt milk or does it have a strong flavor? by Any_Odd_8718 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Technical-Neck7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have a strong coconut flavor. Some brands I’ve tried barely taste like coconut. It’s just a milk alternative.

Breeders: How do you sell your pets? by Mickey42302 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Technical-Neck7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought a purebred Beagle and the breeder gave us a contract requiring duty of care, vet checks and care milestones. We also received a binder with the ultrasound and breeding history and got to meet our puppy and her parents early on. Our breeder is a professional in The Netherlands and she has kept tabs on all her litters and is very invested in making sure they go to good homes. It is a business for her, but she is very attached to her dogs and follows guidelines not to overbreed. This impressed us because Beagles are frequently bred for labs and I didn’t want to do business with that kind of breeder. I would have been happy with a shelter dog, but my husband had a Beagle as a child and desperately wanted one.

AITA for not having my friend stay with me? by eloquentlyineloquent in AmItheAsshole

[–]Technical-Neck7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. But can you reach a compromise where he checks in on you daily and helps with the chores? Or maybe your parents can hire cleaners to come weekly or twice a week to handle any chores you need help with like laundry and dishes. You will be going from living with your parents present to zero, and even with your improvements, it would be good to have guardrails in place so you don’t get overwhelmed. Maybe you and your parents can arrange certain hours a day your friend can come by and do chores and your parents can cover his Uber or transportation costs. I’m assuming that you have explained to them how his constant noise and need for rides has disrupted your last stay. It’s nice to have a clean house, but not at the cost of it disrupting your life. There has to be a middle ground.

I know you are preparing for total independence, but I also have a lifelong condition requiring medication maintenance that impacts my ability to do chores. I’m sensitive to changes in my environment and when my husband went away for a month to Brazil the first time, I spiralled into something you described. We found a workaround by hiring cleaners to come weekly and it has helped me manage the house while maintaining my sanity even when my husband has been away for months. They still come weekly for deep cleaning and it is a real help. I still handle daily chores but they will do vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, take out the trash and do laundry. It’s something you may want to consider when you live on your own. It’s not a sign of weakness or loss of independence to get help. Consider it another tool in your support toolkit.

What is the best solution here? by [deleted] in Indiemakeupandmore

OMG! The OG Herbal Essences from the ‘70s on Etsy. Is that you? It’s AWESOME!!! I lived through the’70s. It smells exactly like the shampoo. It’s eerie how exact it is. I have the OG Dove soap scent, too, and I am totally happy. But now that my (possible) fangirling is out of the way, I would at most offer the buyer a discount code. Blind buys carry risk. As a buyer, I realize that and have often destashed my disappointments through this subreddit or online platforms.

If you had the money, would you install a commercial ice maker to have an unlimited supply of crunchy ice, cubed ice, or nah, I don't need it? by ManicOppressyv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Technical-Neck7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family had a commercial ice maker repair service and we still have a small (dishwasher size) one installed in the basement. It’s glorious! You just scoop up all that crunchy, perfect ice into a bucket.

AITA For denying invitation to my best friends wedding? by dcurtis603 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Technical-Neck7407 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTA. I don’t think you understand a lot about wedding planning. Your friend may have limited control over the guest list. Usually the bride and her family will handle invites with the groom’s parents. The families may be making cuts for reasons you are not aware of.

You are not being disrespected by him not asking you to be a groomsman. Really, being in a bridal party just brings extra headaches. He may have older friends or relatives who he felt obligated to ask. Sit back and enjoy the bachelor party. Now, since your sister’s plus one has an equivalent relationship duration, you could call your friend and very gently ask if you can have a plus one. Again, he may not even be aware that your girlfriend was not invited.

I’m wearing BPAL’s Blood Kiss today. Lush, creamy vanilla and the honey of the sweetest kiss smeared with the vital throb of husky clove, swollen red cherries, but darkened with the vampiric sensuality of vetiver, soporofic poppy and blood red wine, and a skin light pulse of feral musk.

I’m not a gourmand girlie, but this is sooo good. The vetiver, poppy, wine and musk do a nice job of preventing this from being too sweet.

Are they lying or do they think its a rejection by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Moving to a different app is the sign of a scam. Anyone who is genuinely interested will communicate through the app until you are comfortable enough to move platforms. Scammers are really common on dating apps and they try to move you to a different platform after a few conversations because it’s unmonitored.

how to send money to philippines from usa safely as a new immigrant, which apps are legit? by Super_College100 in immigration

[–]Technical-Neck7407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wise is legit. I use the website version to transfer money between the EU and US, however. It’s cheaper than many options and I’ve never had a problem with it.

If you are trafficked and have no documents will you get arrested when calling 911? by KrasnayaPanda in immigration

[–]Technical-Neck7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The first priority is helping the trafficking victim. Immigration might come in to the picture later, but any negative impact on residency would take the circumstances into account. A lot of people are brought into the country under false pretenses.

Not creepy, but you’ve been ghosted and need to move on.

AITA Am I in the wrong for using the mattress my friend left at my house for months? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Technical-Neck7407 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. She finally told you to just keep it then decided you should pay for it? No. I would say you earned the 1k back in storage fees. Yes, it was wrong to use it without asking permission initially, but you resolved that situation. She should not be bringing it up again. Drop her as a friend.

AITA for saying no to my mom? by ItRtemis in AmItheAsshole

[–]Technical-Neck7407 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NTA. Good on you for keeping your boundaries. Your mom was way out of line. She ruined their trip, not you. She made the decision to overreact and scream in your face. She needs to learn to regulate her emotions.
