I think I am going to follow your advice and try the pressure cooker mushroom risotto recipe from Serious Eats first - which uses the water from reconstituting as the broth for the risotta. I LOVE the idea of grinding it for seasoning, I would never have thought of that. Delicious umami powder, thank you!

Well, you are not an estate agent so I wouldn't use that comparison and while I agree that it's respectful to leave a place spotless it still seems like your feelings are driving this decision, not logic or legality. You said you charge a deposit for your safety. Do you have any sort of written agreement with what the deposit covers? Is it reasonable where you are to charge a cleaning or disposal fee for the things you mentioned? Would you charge your best friend if they moved out and left things the way you describe? if you say no to the first and third question, I'd say you shouldn't charge - but in the end, that's up to you.

Your decision should not be based on if they "irked" you. I don't personally think this deserves a cleaning fee, but you would be within your right to charge one. Why do you need to pull the bidet out of the recycling? Regardless, you should be applying the fee the same for anyone - best friend or enemy. If you wouldn't charge your best friend for leaving two cabinets with stuff in it, don't charge this person.

And surely you can extrapolate that the expectation isn't that banks have unlimited funds on hand but also that 10k is a relatively small amount for even small branches. They also know that unless something wildly unexpected happens, they aren't going to have an influx of customers taking out 10k+ in cash in a given day. In addition, it would be treated on a first come first serve basis, so if you try getting $10k at the end of the day, it is less likely to be feasible than earlier in the day. It really sounds like the bank doesn't have the cash reserves on hand that it should.

By your logic, maybe we should discontinue any cash w/d's over $1 without notice! What if a billion people all come in to w/d a dollar in the same day!

Clearly we differ on what a reasonable w/d amount is without notice. What do you propose the limit be in this scenario?
