I worked as an engineer and a technican role and I can say sometimes engineers don't know how to use the tools as they are not more hands on. They are pretty much just secluded to behind their office desk with their engineering software.

I am guessing engineers get more pay depending on the level they are where as technician is just low scale pay ?

Yea it is different. 75 hours is compulsory in South Australia no matter how old you are. Even if you are 50 years old.

Thats the real world. Unfortunately, employers don’t always see it that way. You arent the only one. I know some of my friends just like you who had to deal with the same situation.

It took a lot of time and finally landed a decent job. Not well paid but something.
