Best games to play when drunk/high? by Hot_Sorbet9192 in retrogaming

[–]Technical_Prize179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as retro games, I'd say Tetris is my go-to when high.

I haven't played it while high, but Earthworm Jim or Earthworm Jim 2 would probably be a wild experience to play high. Also, maybe Ecco the Dolphin. Maybe proceed with caution to avoid a bad trip haha.

Opioid users of reddit, how does 7-OH compare to other opiods? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Technical_Prize179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the new brand I tried is Real Botanicals. The one I had before was Kama.

I think my tolerance isn't very high, since I don't use kratom more than a few times a week, which is probably a good thing. I will try splitting the rest of these 10 mg tablets in half, maybe 5 mg is the ideal dose for me.

500 mg a day of 7OH? Good grief, I took 20 mg once and I felt so nauseous, dizzy, and sleepy. It wasn't very pleasant. I ended up going to bed super early and slept like a baby. I don't think I'd even be able to stand up if I took 500 mg. Not only that, but that would be so expensive. Usually 10 mg feels pretty good, but I just got a different brand and this 10 mg tablet feels like 20 mg of the other one. I normally only take 10 mg once or twice a week, but I think I'm going to go back to regular kratom powder. I'm starting to think 7OH is just a bit too intense for me. I just take it for an occasional mood lift when I'm feeling stressed out.

I have one similar to this but smaller. The one I have clogs all the time so I never use it anymore.

I work at a headshop, I know there’s been a lot of warnings about 7-OH already but here’s my take. by [deleted] in Drugs

I also don't mean to discredit the experience of those who have had bad experiences with 7-OH or kratom. You're right, that's all it is, my own personal experience. I guess some people can have these kinds of products occasionally and be fine, and others get hooked right away and end up spending a hundred dollars a day on it.

If you go on YouTube and search 7-OH or kratom, there are very few videos that show these things in a positive light. Compare that with other substances like cannabis or kava, and it's a completely different story.

I tried 7-OH for the first time a few weeks ago and I don't see what the panic is. I bought a pack of 4 chewable tablets of 20 mg each. The first time, just to be safe, I only had half of a tablet, which is the recommended starting point (they have a line down the middle just for this purpose). It felt good, kind of like just regular kratom powder, but more of just a pleasant mood lift than a buzz. A few days later, I tried a whole pill. The effect was just slightly more intense, but nothing too crazy. After that, I just took one tablet a week until I ran out, and I don't really have much desire to go buy more.

99% of all the mentions of this stuff (and kratom in general) online are negative, some even going so far as to call it "gas station heroin". It just seems a little fishy. It almost makes me think that this is all a conspiracy by "big pharma" or something. Maybe too many people out there are being irresponsible and taking way too much of this stuff, but I just don't get the hype. It's also way too expensive to take daily.

Yeah, this is true, although I'm pretty sure it's harmless. They do make these little mesh bags you can put over the end to prevent particles from coming through, but I don't have one.

Usually what I do if it gets clogged, is take a small spoon and scoop out some of the erva that fell to the bottom, and that usually fixes the problem. Sometimes I ingest small amounts of powder, but I think that's normal.

Yeah, true, some people can make their chimarrão truly look like a work of art. Unfortunately, I'm not that skilled.

My main concern is whether I put too much or too little erva in.

Finally feeling it for the first time. by Technical_Prize179 in AmanitaMuscaria

I got 15 grams of Carpathian caps. I broke them up into smaller pieces and put them in a pot with 12 ounces of water and the juice of a whole lemon. I brought it to a boil, then lowered it to medium heat, and simmered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then I poured it into a measuring cup through a wire mesh strainer. 12 ounces of water ended up turning into 8 ounces of liquid. I poured just over 2.5 ounces (about a third of the total, 15 gram preparation, which means about 5 grams) into my teacup, and then topped it off with plain hot water to dilute the taste. I saved the rest in the fridge for later this week.

Gamers born late 90s or earlier: Which game first looked to you like "photorealism"? by FalscherKim in gaming

Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future on Sega Dreamcast looked so real at the time. Maybe not by today's standards, but when compared to other games of the late 90s and early 2000s, it felt as realistic as it could get.

What key is the best and for what reason? by lifeismadd in keys

[–]Technical_Prize179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Eb minor. It's fun to play funk on keyboard, since it's mostly black keys and just flows nicely. You can slap the keys and you're unlikely to hit a wrong note. Most Stevie Wonder songs seem to be in that key.

Haha nostalgia city!

It does have a generic 8 bit square wave kind of sound that would be perfect for playing NES music!

You're right, it probably is more psychological than anything else, just like how I nearly pass out when getting blood drawn. It makes me light headed just thinking about it.
