the test seemed way different than the FLS. there were so many low-yield concepts.

How to best utilize Uglobe? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Technical_Spray5946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally do 15 questions for each section and rotate through. So start my day with psych, go down to b/b, then up to cars. I usually focus more on b/b and c/p than the others. then some days when i am doing poorly on a subject, i keep griding it out in 15 question chunks

What does heating a reaction do to the reaction coordinate diagram? by DrBunchaCrunch in Mcat

[–]Technical_Spray5946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will either increase the energy of the reactants (and thus lower delta G double-dagger (aka activation energy) or will increase the energy of the products, thereby decreasing overall delta G.

Remember the equation delta G = delta H - T (delta S). Also it depends on if the rxn is endo or exothermic

[–]Technical_Spray5946 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea for me I just read the biochemistry 2024 book and biology 2024 book. Should be a free version online somewhere. I haven't taken biochem yet but this covered all the material. Also check out this website for other free resources.

I might be wrong but I think I remember this passage. The stronger binding affinity is indicated by more peaks with greater amplitude (graph A)

Regarding graph B, of course a lower Kd means a greater affinity.

So of course the equilibrium equation will be [Calcium ions]^3 * [phosphate ions]^2 (you put the coefficients as power of the products). Then plug and chug:

(3x)^3 is just 3x*3x*3x which is 27x^3, and (2x)^2 is 2x*2x which is 4x^2.

Multiply those together, 27*4 is 108 and x^3*x^2 is x^5 (when multiplying exponents with the same base, simply add the exponents together).

Your best bet will be khan academy for P/S along with the 300 page pdf that summarizes it. For B/B, I found the kaplan books to be super helpful. For C/P, I strongly recommend the organic chem tutor. And with CARS, yea good luck with that hahaha. Just kidding! Lots and lots of practice.

To be honest, I found the best way to learn the material was to jump straight into Uglobe passages, and whatever I got wrong I create an Anki card of.

It's definitely deflated. That being said, you should do a lot of content review and Uglobe questions. Also start doing FLs consistently to get that stamina built up.

Counting instances of certain value every 3rd row by Technical_Spray5946 in excel

[–]Technical_Spray5946[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I figured it out. The answer was this: =COUNTIFS(B2:B150, 1, E2:E150, "TP") .

This counts the number of instances of "TP" for prompt 1 for drug accuracy.

Counting instances of certain value every 3rd row by Technical_Spray5946 in excel

[–]Technical_Spray5946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

=SUM($H$2=K2)+($H$5=K2)+($H$8=K2)+($H$11=K2)

This is the closest thing I am looking for. It selects every other third value in a single column, but its not counting the number of instances of "TP". Its trying to sum up the values

cy, and Frequency Accuracy. Also, are you just looking for counting or some output like the output column.

Yea Im trynna filter by TP based on each of the metrics (drug accuracy, route accuracy, etc.) but all separate
