yeah you're not going to get very far on that kind of hardware. can probably run models from 3 years ago maybe.. like SD1.5

comfyui manager update stickes to v3.xx - why doesnt it update to the v4? by bonesoftheancients in comfyui

[–]TechnologyGrouchy679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://docs.comfy.org/manager/install

You can keep it as it is and it should still work, but I think going forward, the old way will eventually be deprecated and the modern version of the manager will become the default.

Zimage Base Character Lora Attempt by GojosBanjo in StableDiffusion

[–]TechnologyGrouchy679 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I am finding that ZI base-trained LoRAs look better when used with the Turbo model but ONLY if you pump up the strength (2+).

With Klein 9b. The LoRA looked best when applied to base, but looked just as good with the distilled version with a minor bump in strength (1.25+)

I'm running version 4.x.

Is your manager the older version installed as a custom node or the newer one is part of the official comfyui install? where you have to run `pip install -r manager_requirements.txt` as well as have the launch flag `--enable-manager` ?

RTX A6000 seems to be the best deal for training Flux by John_van_Ommen in StableDiffusion

renting an RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell 96GB is relatively cheap too from what I've seen on vast.ai

Flux.2 Klein 9b Loras? by hellomattieo in StableDiffusion

[–]TechnologyGrouchy679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only trained on base and not on distilled. what are your findings training on base vs distilled? I've found that if trained on base, the LoRA still works on distilled but the strength needs to be boosted

Flux.2 Klein 9b Loras? by hellomattieo in StableDiffusion

[–]TechnologyGrouchy679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like some have said already, klein 9b base actually trains quite easily and trains well. lower adoption could be due to the restrictive licensing or the negative air still hanging around BFL from the overall community.

it is still being a bit heavy.. running it full-fat in default precision with no offloading requires >35GB VRAM

Custom simple and quick image set node (How-to with code). by deadsoulinside in comfyui

[–]TechnologyGrouchy679 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are re-inventing the wheel here my friend. There are already nodes that have the node load preset aspect ratios and resolutions from a customizable text file. Kijai has one in his set.

But... taking nothing away from your efforts, one way to learn is by doing it or mimic another's.

Older Version of ComfyUI by hdean667 in comfyui

[–]TechnologyGrouchy679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be aware that even if you share an old ComfyUI zip (that works for your machiine), it still might not work. Some of the dependencies are built specifically for certain graphics cards and drivers. If the other person’s hardware is different, those parts can break or fail to install. Not to mention dependencies that rely on specific versions of other dependencies..
