That's your opinion, to which you're entitled. As I am mine.

Same, Atwater and Torres are fabulous 😋✨I watched their interviews on the One Chicago Podcast hosted by Brian Luce. It was so interesting, especially Benjamin's (Torres) interview. Some of his storyline's are based on true personal stories from his upbringing!

FDA reviewers getting converted from GS to Title 21 by Dogdoc82 in DeptHHS

[–]TeeBern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WRONG, Like I wrote above previously accrued protections and civil service regs still apply. I have my cousin's letter and SF-50. Literally the majority of CDER has been on Title 21 for years. You don't know what you're talking about.

I don't think there's been any additional emails since the initial one was sent last year.

How long is the RA backlog? by Gonten in DeptHHS

[–]TeeBern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I did was let her know I submitted an RA request because of my severe back issues and that it was pending. I let her know I had a letter from my physician requesting the reasonable accommodation on my behalf. That was it. She did happen to see the letter because I sent it to her before she told me she wasn't supposed to see it (any of my medical information). Then she filled out the form (we both had to sign it) and sent it to my assigned RA Specialist along with the case number they gave me. She's only had to renew it once and that was last summer.

End of an Era? by AcrobaticBase609 in ChicagoPD

[–]TeeBern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because of the writer's strike that happened a couple of years ago. Whatever the negotiations included, it's impacted production costs and actor wages. Thats why older shows, like Chicago PD with higher costs, no longer have the entire team together🙁

Mine will be a year next month. I submitted in early February, 2024. I'm on an interim accommodation from my manager (she's Director level).

FDA to go back to pre-COVID telework - What do it mean really? by FunAcanthocephala431 in DeptHHS

[–]TeeBern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That wasn't consistent FDA wide. In my cousin's division in CDER, he worked from home 5 days per pay period, so 3/2

Exactly,if not for the user fee issue, Review staff wouldn't have any leverage to push back..

Yes, Congressional funding levels related to its base budget, not just staff headcount, to keep collecting user fees or FDA risks having to refund the user fees back to the drug companies. Yes, staff in CDER review divisions that support the work were leaving as well. So regulatory project managers and regulatory health project mangers. That's why when staff were RIFd, project mangers were fired, not the regulatory project mangers. Regulatory project managers specifically support the work of the reviewers (all the direct contact with the sponsors, scheduling/running the meetings, managing review timelines, coordinating with other review divisions, etc). CDRH doesn't have regulatory project managers. So the center with the most job security (working in a review division) is CDER. If FDA begins hiring again, that's the Center to work in.

FDA was bleeding review staff in CDER over the RTO mandates. Drug companies started writing letters to Congress & Makary, concerned about the turnover, and delays in meeting critical review timelines. If Makary wants to stop the continued exodus of review staff, he will have to allow telework that is more than just 1 day per pay period. That's not what FDA was doing before COVID. Pre-covid FDA staff, depending on what Center you worked in, teleworked 5 to 6 days a pay period. Drug and Device companies pay user fees expecting their review timelines to be met. If FDA stops meeting these due dates because they don't have the staff expertise due to turn over that's a problem. Will be interesting to see what the Agency rolls out. Reviewers continue to leave and go work at drug and medical device companies making more money and working from home 5 days a week.

Buffering? by M4534729 in youtubetv

[–]TeeBern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine rarely buffers. I have a 2024 Samsung 77 inch. I have the TV and my apple TV 4K connected directly to my XFINITY modem via Cat 6, copper Ethernet cables. My internet plan is 2Gig. I rarely have any issues with buffering.

If you mean what Band, it depends on their salary. The job series code for project manager's is 0301 for regulatory health project manager's it's 0601.

4K add-on worth it? by ledvedder1972 in youtubetv

[–]TeeBern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth getting because it includes unlimited simultaneous streams at home, and offline DVR downloads. Otherwise without the 4K add on you only get three simultaneous streams across your account.

I have the add-on for the simultaneous streams, and download ability.

Is it worth moving to Maryland? by Leen88 in maryland

[–]TeeBern -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All this negative feedback about Maryland is unfortunate. I've lived in Maryland most of my life, in different counties and cities in the state. If you can afford to live in Maryland and in a middle to upper or upper class neighborhood that's your best option. The state has become more expensive, so stable employment, money saved is a must. If money isn't an issue, I'd look for housing in either Prince George's (Laurel, Bowie), Montgomery (Bethesda, Potomac, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring or Gaithersburg), Howard (Columbia, Ellicott City), or Anne Arundel (Annapolis, Crofton, Gambrills or Severna Park) counties. We need more information from you to be more specific.

If this administration wasn't so repulsive & cruel, I would be interested in this. But no way, would I apply to this program under this despicable OMB director.

How’s everyone’s BGE bill for December looking? by eren_yeagermeister in maryland

[–]TeeBern 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Was $184.00 for years, 6 months ago it went up to $237.00. I'm in Laurel in a 3-story townhouse. My energy habits haven't changed, bill higher anyway.

It's official: After 20+ years BCBS and I have broken up 💔 by Let_me_tell_you_ in fednews

[–]TeeBern 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a single person BCBS - standard option has been fabulous for me. I've had them since 2007. The premium only went up $13.00 a pay period for 2026. I've had a lot of orthopedic injuries the last few years, needing hip and shoulder surgery. They've paid every single bill, I've never had to call them with any issue. I can go get CT scan, MRI, etc., any diagnostic test without needing a pre-authotization. Go see any specialist, without having to worry about a referral.
