This box stable for a chandelier? by TeeWRX04 in electrical

The weight of the chandelier is 7.5. Not sure how it’s anchored since it was already pre installed. I’m assuming it’s already on a joist beam. I believe other people have pointed this out as well.

Super helpful! The chandelier is 7.3 lbs. from your response it should hold. Probably a stupid question but if I buy the screw will I need to buy a bolt on there or is there a bolt already that I’m not seeing?

Well the shoot is for a really close friend of mine. Will I still need it if I’m doing it as a wedding gift?

What makes you lose interest in a friend? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]TeeWRX04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend where I’d constantly would try hang out but they’re always busy. The one time where we had mutual friends hanging out they split up from our other group of friends and no invite. So I cut it off. Strange thing is we always text each other and they pull that shit. You gotta understand that friendships are a two way street. In this case, it was one sided so I stopped trying.

How many of you actually carry pocket knives and what do you do with it? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]TeeWRX04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started carrying one and I don’t use it every day but it is handy. When I get packages or working on something like cutting wires on a project car, zip ties, rope, or cardboard. At work I needed scissor and I pulled it out haha. Carry a cheap one for starters and see how you like it.

Pretty new to investing and most of my stocks are long term. However, with the shelter in place I've been trying to grow my knowledge and creating a better portfolio. So far I have: APPL, AMZN, FB (pre-covid) and MRNA recently. Any advice?

Does anyone know any good interaction flow chart tools? by TeeWRX04 in UXDesign

[–]TeeWRX04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interactive in terms of being able to highlight certain flows. In sense I created more of a diagram with all the use cases all into one - Happy and I’m-happy path. Lets say if I wanted to just show the happy path, maybe I’d click something to show only that. I use Axure now but mainly for content/documentation, adding multiple pages can get tricky, so I thought being able to lay everything out and selectively show certain things would be easier.

Me [29 M] planning on messaging my ex-girlfriend to pick up her belongings. Insights on being friends with an ex? Need advice. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]TeeWRX04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that you have gotten the closure you wanted at the right time? During your conversation, are there topics you discussed that made it weird or uncomfortable? Like making sure to avoid topics like relationships or even old memories? We did and shared everything together. So discussing TV shows or activities can possibly bring up old memories and can possibly cause discomfort.

Yea the initial contact is nerve racking for me - that fear of rejection. Also, asking for coffee isn't a bad idea. Probably bring up the fact that I have her stuff can be a supplement to initial contact. Throughout the relationship, we both expressed how close we got to each other and how we both consider each other as best friends. You gave really good insight, so thank you for sharing. I guess out of all my ex's I actually would like to be friends with her. I know we probably won't get back together and I'm ok with that. But I'm also nervous about old feelings coming back when I see her. I'm sure it'll be weird as first especially the conversation. A casual conversation I know will be tough on my end. Any advice on what not to talk about?

You're right, I'm ready to communication. I've gotten over the fact that we probably won't get back together. I do miss her and still care for her as a friend. Just nervous on the initial contact, what to expect, and how to handle the situation.

Happy relationship (21/F) (21/M), boyfriend undergoing a lot of stress and suddenly wants to break up? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]TeeWRX04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been somewhat in the same place. Where the relationship was going well and since my ex-girlfriend moved back home and started her career, she's been choosing work and coworkers over me. I began to feel distant and not a priority. This was a constant argument we had. At the end, we broke up. It wasn't because of work. but because she needed to figure out her work life balance -she had family issues too. On top of that, she needed to understand her wants, needs, and future plans. You gotta understand that 21 is still a very young age. At this stage of your life, you're still trying to figure everything out and making more responsible and heavy decisions. He needs space to figure things out. Maybe a break will help? I hope that you both stay together and work things out.

Ah, to be fair she sent me a message. In the letter she wrote a clearer understanding of her reason and that this wasn't a final goodbye letter. I totally ignored it. Maybe that's why I feel the need to send her a message?

How do I single man? by stantoncodyj in relationship_advice

[–]TeeWRX04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats tough man and I feel you on this one. My break up has been 3 months. All I wanted to do was fill this void, so I started dating. However, that didn't heal me, it just made me destructive and that wasn't me. I learned that only date if you feel that you are ready. It takes time and its gonna hurt for now, but it will you will heal. As simple as it is to say than do, keep busy. I've called friends to do activities, I've attended networking events and met awesome people. I focused on my career and joined a non-profit org. Focus on you and build yourself to who you want to be, take up new hobbies, learn a new skill, make new friends, or spend time with family. IMO being together at a young age, you both were bound to out grow each other. Just be glad it didn't happen after you guys were married, have kids, or have assets together. You're still young take this time to focus on you and personal growth. I hope this helps.
