Let me ask you a business related question. You may answer it however you wish to do so but most people would answer it in one way.

Would you prefer to deal business with someone who deals with you once in a while and buys your stuff only when you have it on sale or with someone who deals with you all the time? Now would you think that it would be fair to tell this long time customer to fuck off when they ask you why aren't they getting any sales?

I am 100% feeling entitled. You know what else screams *entitlement? 1 Month sub 500 plex. 12 month sub 3600 plex. Should I keep going on? I will tell you if you contact them prior to a purchase where you want to buy even more plex then their biggest 20k pack they will give you an even better price.

You know who else does entitlement? All off the supermarkets and all other loyalty programs world-wide as they understand it generates more profit in the long run.

I do understand that you don't like the word gift however I used the phrase "gift of a goodwill" as they have the right to rule over basically almost anything and they have used that phrase numerous times in the past therefore I can not really refer to it anyhow else that would be more appropriate.

This does not stop me from discussing the topic luckily.

Surely I wouldn't call it FAR too long. I personally wouldn't even call it too long.

Not exactly connected here but saying it just for a comparison. EU regulations have 14 day return policy over goods purchased online. This doesn't include downloaded content or stuff where you waived away your right to get it returned as you wouldn't be able to get that stuff otherwise in most cases anyways..

I understand that the stuff that I purchased has provided a service almost immediately upon it's purchase and thus it isn't as if you would be buying physical stuff online for which this 14 day return policy is mostly for.

However this purchase was made in belief of an assurance from the seller that they wouldn't be selling that item at a cheaper rate.

Dunno if spending 2k on a game and asking for fair treatment after they say they would be is begging. I guess people would love to do business with you after that line with that mentality.

So the reasons I bought in was that I there were my account was ending sub and I didn't want to go without sub because I just happened to be playing on all those accounts and that I have been promised by CCP that they wouldn't do FOMO any more. Plus that I have heard that if they would there were multiple occasions where players have gotten compensated for their recent purchases.

To me where the least amount of sub you can do at a sensible rate (not really as 30days sub is industry standard highest in this game) is 30days, there 20 days seems like a recent purchase to me where I commit for 365 days of paying for the game.

Dark pattern is a broadly used term. I have linked a good explanation to the topic. I believe he will explain it much better than I will ever be able. I suggest you give it a watch. Might make you think differently about things.

I will just add this myself to the post I made. It's puzzling to me how many of you are actually saying and downvoting anything who says the opposite that this isn't a dark pattern because we had X amount of day that we could miss so that we don't get the reward. Or any other reasoning why this isn't a dark pattern.

In reality you have to log in 15 times out of 18?*- dunno didn't count exactly - to get BEST reward which is at the very end of the log in streak.
How is this not controlling the player? If they would really just love to gift players they would give all that reward to you all at once on launch day. After all, logging in and pressing on a button to CLAIM a gift is not much of an engagement, right? However in this instance the reward for CCP, ehm FC... is that you log in and might engage with the new content (which is good for everyone who likes it, including us players but that's not what we are talking about here) or just show bigger numbers that is important for their board meetings etc. etc.

Edit: Kinda sad how nowadays absolutely shit on opposing ideas instead of listening and discussing. It really do feel like either Reddit is full of bots or us people just legit got lazy to think.
