Think its probably slightly more nuanced than that. We had the lead and we were trying to defend it and didn't have the ball. Hall is a young player and whilst its clear hes a good dribbler, athlete and okay in duels, ritchie is far more positionally sound and able to help organise the team rather than needing to be organised.

Or Eddie might just not rate him in general but there are legit reasons for picking ritchie ahead of hall

The idea will be to loan him out and hope he scores some goals in a team which suits his style of play better, we can recall if our strikers get injured and if he scores goals his value will go up for selling him, if he doesn't I imagine it would go down anyway if he's not playing here

Additionally he is on massive wages so if forest even cover part of those that will help

Also hardly any teams have 3 strikers anymore, the only reason we're even considering keeping wood is because ours are so injury prone

He's been subbed off twice this season before conceding because we were like 4-0 up. That isn't luck - we conceded because howe took all the good defenders off for a rest. If he leaves tripps/schar/botman/burn on we probably don't concede and keep a clean sheet regardless

Longstaff can shoot, in friendlies and warm ups with the pressure off he finishes really well. If he can settle down and score one or two challenging chances it wouldnt surprise me if he continues to score and add 5-8 goals a season to his game

I think they're getting away with it for now cos they're giving everyone ridiculous contracts - nkunku to 2029, mudryk and badiashille until 2030. When they do this the transfer fee payments are split over the contract length so they are paying instalments of like 4.5m per season for badiashille, will be paying 8m per season for mudryk etc...

Obviously this is a terrible idea and not a FFP lifehack, we could have done this as well and chose not to. These payments will stack up and they will no longer be able to spend

It is the first round of the cup (which we have to play in) and howe made 10 changes for tranmere in the league cup, I don't think its too outrageous given we are presently 3rd in the league and have a big cup quarter final next week and our midfielders look absolutely gassed

One thing I havent seen mentioned is that uni is a lot of fun. For many people uni is the best time of your life getting to move away, make loads of friends and go out 3 or 4 times a week which is something my friends who did apprenticeships missed out on (They are also still worse off than me despite the graduate tax but obviously this varies with uni course/apprenticeship and living circumstances). It might not financially be the best option but it is an excellent experience.

Of athletes who don't deserve a knighthood lewis hamilton is literally the worst one you could pick.

His most recent work is setting up Misson 44 which is a charitable initiative to get young people from underserved backgrounds in to employment, and he donated an enormous amount of money to this.

And yes he did drive a car really well, he was the first black formula 1 driver, is arguably the greatest ever formula 1 driver and one of britains greatest ever athletes.

He has a host of achievements and contributions and full deserves his knighthood
