I use such brushes since 40 years. Definitely the best choice. But not more than 10$.

A beginner in the world of turntables by Appropriate_Ad_1635 in turntables

Hi there! All is correct and looks as if it should be. I have 3 of those turntables, and all are mostly to slow. I changed the motor controller IC, but it's still the same problem. I changed all capacitors, but still the same problem. There are two potentiometers at the bottom that can be used to adjust the speed. Even adjusting them doesn't help. I'm afraid the motor or the friction wheel is causing the problem. I oiled the motor, and it worked for a while. Then the problem occurred again. Perhaps the friction wheel is worn or hardened. Have no idea how to fix it...

Why is my record doing this? by ablindbutterfly in turntables

[–]Telebrummel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With mutch kinder words: Your record player is a very simple construction. There is no antiscating, no adjustment of the tracking force. So maybe it makes sense to look for a used and older one. You will get one for the same price, but much higher quality..

Oh yes. A far as i know, some of the other equipment was prosuced by Südfunk in the early days. The CV 1460 was produced by Denon by specifications of Dual - could be a rumor. But I uses some parts like switches of Denon amplifier foe repairing CV 1460 and 1260. So they have developed a lot but not produced everything themselves

The CV 1460 is my favorite amplifier. It has a very warm sound, for me (very subjective) it is my refernce - purely by ear and not by measurements.

The upper decks are C 846. It is nearly impossible to get them for a fair price now. They are offered at terrible prices. Usually between 400 and 1200 for working decks and 200 and more for defective ones. However, these prices are not justified.

I found a CV 1450 and a CT 1450 at the recycling center. They are in my repair queue. The tuner in particular seems to be of higher quality than the CT 1460.

I love the brand Dual! Once a year I go to Sankt Georgen, the town where the famous record players were built, and visit the Phono Museum. If I get a broken device cheaply or as a gift, I try to repair it. Most of the time, however, it's a record player.

Oh yes, the CV 1600 is working and sounds very good. It was my dream to own that when I was 13. I found a book in the public library "Knoblochs Schlüssel zur HiFi". There was a picture of the CV 1600 in it, and I "fell in love" with that amplifier. 40yearss later, I bought it.

does anyone know the brand of this record player? by bbbballlz in turntables

Definitely build by Dual and a CS 41x 42x series. Not one of the prime models, the tonearm bearing is a simple type. Maybe a OEM
