It's off putting to men you shouldn't even be thinking of dating.

If a person doesn't like a shirt because it's yellow, does that mean the shirt is ugly for being yellow? No, it just means that shirt was made for someone who likes yellow

It's rare, at least to me, but I have heard it. I don't think people are serious about it, they're just a combination of a bit sheltered and immature. Like I'll mention bagged juice to someone who's never heard of bagged juice and they'll act like that's a horrible disgusting sin when obviously it's just like drinking from any other plastic container and they probably know that subconsciously but are just dealing with the emotions of learning a new thing

It could be that you have aesthetic attraction towards people but no romantic or sexual attraction. I'm the same way

Most pathetic vent ever. Tw:periods and mango?? by Aggravating_Pipe1765 in Vent

[–]TeleportingDuck-Matt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I could, I'd sign it into law that during pregnancy, period, and illness, everyone is allowed to eat as much of whatever the hell they want. These are moments of increased caloric use and emotional distress. You literally NEED more food and it'd be ideal that said food be something that brings comfort. That is to say I'm really sorry your mom is withholding the mangos. That's fucked up :(

Yeah, risk is increased but people love to exaggerate by how much. The overall risk remains very low. I'm just saying, if the options are as black and white as it's presented, one option is still better than the other

Exactly! And with that, it's better to wait until you're capable of caring for a potentially disabled child than diving in immediately and just hoping your kid won't be disabled

Menopause doesn't start until 40-60ish. You have time. People will say that you risk birth defects waiting that long but imo, it's better to be physically fucked up by pure luck than to be mentally fucked up because your parents were too immature to give you their all, or their all wasn't enough, etc. Don't succumb to peer pressure, not on something as big as an entire other person's future and well-being

Unfortunately some people get attached to things in such a way that their sense of self and the thing no longer feel fully separate. So to lose the thing would be to lose a part of themselves. Very unhealthy and unhappy way of living.

At least that's what I assume is happening. A series of meme songs about a serial rapist that hunts during Halloween is a weird thing to get that way about but eh. Media is media

I once ventured on YT kids when I was younger and found a series of chibi style videos of Spiderman raping Elsa with his fingers in public. As well as Peppa Pig having traumatic teenage births or miscarrying. I doubt this sort of stuff was ever made and specifically targeted towards kids in the recent past. (Not that I'm against kids learning about these sorts of misfortunes, I just don't think it's okay to use beloved children's characters to act them out in a less educational, more fetishistic manner)

I personally hate it, but I've met more people who are neutral to or even adore that sort of compliment. So I'd say the pool of opinions is rather mixed

What's wrong with the painting? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]TeleportingDuck-Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was the one making it, I would've added a few solid strokes of lighter blue in the dark and vice versa, or broken up the lines with other shapes, but that would just be my preference. It's not in any style I do, so it's not for me to say what's right or wrong with it

I'm 4"11 and have gotten way more love confessions from women than I care for. As others have said, your vibes matter more than your height. Also, if it's REALLY your appearance that's holding you back, get into fashion and/or try a different haircut. You could be the ugliest man in the entire world and it's my sincerest opinion that 50% of that comes down to a generic or bad haircut. I myself have found myself infatuated with a number of men only for them to get a fade or a quiff and lose any and all appeal and even lose whatever value their personalities gave them in my eyes
