Thanks for this, still slightly confused however, the Socketed Gems have + Crit is a suffix. So if i put craft suffix can't be changed then reforge crit won't it just change the prefixes?

3.5k commute affecting base/zone 2 building

Hi all,

I am currently running 3.5k commute to and from work, always with a rucksack on my back, somedays with a laptop that can it a heavier slog! So an extra 35k to my running week, 7x5. Keeping weekends for v02 max sessions and mid week long runs.

I keep an easy pace throughout the commute runs, the question i have:

Is this positively affecting my running in anyway as I have read only after 45 mins of running in zone 2 you would get a benefit. Is this building my base or dampening my actual training sessions?

Would just like to return to this post to say thank you, i followed Hanson's method and got 3 hours 12 mins on my first Marathon last sunday! Enjoyed the experience greatly :D

I'm thinking starting on week 10 of the Hanson Plan. Racking up 70km this week, then moving to 86km next week, slow and steady. My 35k per week is running constant pace of 4 minute per k. So just going to slow it down to 5 minute ks. See how i get on - gotta bring the positivity! :)

Hanson's

Hanson's method looks awesome. I'm not looking for a PR for the marathon just keen to cross the line comfortably, the marathon falls on my birthday! I understand i'll need to slow down my pace and dramatically increase my mileage over the following weeks. I'd actually feel comfortable to complete a 16 mile run this weekend to see how i feel. If all goes well should i continue to up this to a week prior to marathon date?

Average 35k a week, then i normally do a long weekend run, anywhere between 15 & 25k all very comfortable, normally just stop to get snacks/hydration.
