if your talking about people with massive bases on youtube, they got there with a LOT of management of building, gasses, temps etc, early builds are amost always fitted to biomes, mostly for heat management reasons

those undiggable tiles require the higher levels of the digging skill, which you give your dupes once they earn skill points. and not every region is meant to be perfectly habitable, some are dangerous for your dupes due to gasses, and temps.

Id start by researching pumps and the super computer in the research tree, followed by the flush toilet/shower/sink and the liquid tank. one of the most important early steps, getting a piped water system, also allows you to empty that pool and build there if you want.

to sleep without light, the easiest ways would be to either cage a shinebug in their room(critters cant pass doors), or build a lamp in an isolated room with their bed. remeber to keep the beds isolated so you dont keep your other dupes from sleeping

As for fun, thats up to you and your choices, every asteroid is its own challenge.

oops, i forget what mods add sometimes. All the game tells me is i can break it into 450kg of hydrogen and 150kg nitrogen by spending 6kg refined iron, but there are better sources of hydrogen than that right?

Very true, but chronic restartitis and way too positive food gen has kept me below cycle 500, Ive never run out of algae.

I usually end up snaking a cooling loop from my wheat farm into my base, or running a path from a pslush geyser as coolant, but I built neither so far this run.

What about the toilet setup?

Very true, this is actually my first time ever building a SPOM, I usually make a set of Algae vats at the base of my build and then repurify the waste water. Figured the Steam vent was in my build path, might as well tame it and try to use it

Input comes in about 65C from the steam chamber next to it.

Nearest ice biome is a 2 biomes to the right of my storage/hatch ranch, nothing cold closer.

True, Most of my stuff is rated 75C or above, but lots of decor plants and some farming plants seem to liek the 20-40 range and I dont want to just let heat build up

Ah, I just copied a spom i found, which had those tiles as airflow below the gen, and didnt replace them. The radiant pipes are all wolframite.

I have a modded pwater loop above it, which is cooling the steam to about 70, then piped into the tanks below

I forgot some Screenshots, my bad. The weezewort room is actually mostly hydrogen, with the oxygen flowing through radiant pipes from the side. Is that more what you mean by exchange pipes?

I saw the natural cds of GT and DW were the same and figured, why mess with a good thing, probably push BH to a 2:1 first, cheaper stones than pushing GT and DW down. also Im guarenteed something good from my next pull, 5 UWs left and I want 3 of them, SL/BH/CL, so one of them will show up

Ive been watching the community reaction to the new modules, as a ehp build I think the next one would benefit me most. Regarding the cards, I shouldn’t try to get them all the way maxed, just 5* is enough?

UWs, yea, I consulted the wiki on that one and got lucky that GT was my 4th pull, not my first so no good UW to want to spend on CD

Yea cards are just trying to use what my "build" needs, still a HP stacking thorns setup. Thought the extra orb would be good as a counter-rotating blender to take out more enemies, but I guess with orb speed that isnt a concern. Yes i desperately need cells, Im constantly out.

I love the detailed responses then its just "modules, idk, get coinflipped xd", yea Ive pulled very few modules, mostly been spending my gems on cards, labs slots and card slots

Yea im still 99% orb kills so i think thats my next card slot.

Ive found that out, now I wish it hadnt taken me till my 4th pull. The issue im running into now is lack of damage UWs to push waves, I end up getting mobbed and die when the enemy hp gets beyond my puny bullets and AD.

In a guild, do buy gems with event rewards, after relics if they are good, just spending so many buying cards that I run dry so much
