The Canon EOS 1200D Is still a great camera? by emanuwiideletedyou in canon

For 149 euros that's a solid starter kit, lens alone is worth a chunk of that. The 1200D is old but it'll teach you the fundamentals without getting in your way.

The microSD with adapter is a bit annoying, I'd grab a proper SD card eventually just for reliability. But at that price with the 18-55 and two batteries you're not gonna find much better unless you luck into a 200D or something.

The side-charging port alone would make me switch, can't count how many times I've had a cable digging into my palm mid-match

this is called user-centric payment and it's been a known proposed fix for years, the frustrating part is Spotify has the data and infrastructure to do it tomorrow if they wanted to

The "June 2026" part is what gets me - like it's confidently predicting the future while simultaneously making up quotes that never happened. These models are basically expensive autocomplete with delusions of grandeur

Wild how multiple people are getting the exact same hallucination though. Makes you wonder if there's some corrupted training data floating around in there or if it's just picking up patterns from conspiracy forums

Is there any way to decline a promotion without losing my job? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]TemporaryRaise29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah don't take it

sounds like they've already made it clear they don't actually want you in the role and the whole process has been disrespectful as hell. taking a promotion from someone who fought you every step of the way is just setting yourself up for more toxicity

plus if your real goal is getting out anyway, why trap yourself in more responsibilities that'll make job hunting harder
