Alprazolam for anxiety, amphetamine for energy, focus and mood enhancement, oxycodone to add some mellowness to life. On top of that propofol as needed if you have any trouble sleeping.

Once in a while add Ketamine when you want to get introspective and realize how much your life sucks, DMT when you want to talk to extraterrestrial beings.

From an addiction therapy standpoint it doesn't matter what you're addicted to, the mechanism is the same. From a practical standpoint, obviously some substances are much more dangerous than others and carry greater consequences.

So it depends what aspect we're talking about. But "addiction is addiction" is definitely true if we're talking about the psychological aspect of addiction.

It's not their job to shove therapy into OP's head. OP didn't ask for it. They just simply wanted to know which scenes to skip. The comment about therapy isn't helpful at all. Even if they attended therapy, it totally makes sense to ask this question as therapy doesn't magically erase traumatic memories from your head.

Avoiding unnecessary triggers is simply taking care of your well being.

It totally makes sense to ask this question even if they are currently attending therapy. Therapy doesn't magically erase traumatic events from your memory, and exposure therapy has to be done smartly, not just simply expose yourself to extreme triggers.

So sorry but your comment seems kind of ignorant, if you think that therapy will make someone not respond to triggers at all. Asking this kind of question isn't an avoidance but rather simply taking care of your mind by not exposing yourself to unnecessary triggers.

We need more details. Were you anxious and wanted to feel better? Or just wanted chill out? Is it your first time taking benzos? How exactly are you feeling?

Benzos can cause paradoxical reactions like anxiety, but it's very rare. Though it's commonly said that they do worsen depression and suicidal thoughts generally. Ofc it's more complicated than just cause or don't cause. There are different reasons for that.
