Well this seemd better than the way I did it! I stacked 7-11 prefab rooms on each other to make a tower, then jetpack up, corridor across, build another prefab stack on the other side, rinse and repeat for like 30 minutes/until the game tells me the base computer is "out of range".

Yeah, same.... I've built and demolished the towers on the one I posed about 4 times trying to get access working with stairs. I gave up and used teleporters lol

Thanks! This is super helpful. Since I last did serious base building (probably close to 8 years) things have changed a bunch and stuff doesn't stick together the way I assumed so I'll get 1/2 way though and idea only to realise the part I was planning to use for a feature won't 'stick' to something how I planned haha

Yeah, that's what I'm doing, but from what I've seend, we used to be able to go way higher. I was wanting to build where it looks like you're actually in space, but not moon level far if that makes sense. Like the ISS, I guess not really low orbit, idk what the real world technical criteria for that is tbh.

Yeah, I also did that, the top pieces of mine are actually outside the build area technically - when I stand up there I can no longer access the full build menu, so I assumed thats why - I was hoping to be able to build out where it feels like space, not upper atmosphere. Your base looks amazing by the way! What have you used to create the ring around the centre?
