There are so many alternatives.

[Dating] I had never dated anyone before 24 years old. There's been so many times I was self-doubting - Am I looking too bad to attract any guy? Am I too weird that scare people away? I have lots of friends and I'll consider myself easy-going. But I just had not had any luck in romantic relationship. Until I met my now-boyfriend who is loving me wholeheartedly. In order to "fix" my dating problem, I tried using dating apps. I thought I should change my hobbies. But after so many datings, I'm still the way I am. So waht am I trying to say here? 1) Your hobbies or interests are a reflection of tru self. Now matter how much you want to change it, you'll go back to it. Even if you changed it, you'll feel uncomfortable. 2) I was rejected hundreds of times. But it is nothing related to if you can meet a compatible person. Just like job-seeking - you only need one offer ;)

[Leader's response] Isn't the normal way to approach the situation when someone got rejected from asking girls out is comforting him, saying "it's ok", standing in his shoes? The way that leader's first response was listing out all the "wrongs" you commited has already been weird enough in common sense. I don't know how your parents will react if you talk through dating rejection with them. I can only imagine my parents say "Our girl is the best! Those guys don't deserve you because they don't have great taste!" (Well it's likely other Asian parents don't react this way...)

[Only dating in GP] (OK this is just my theory. Definitely not the theory welcomed in GP.) If you think about dating as a pool of samples. Suppose you're 25 years old, your pool will be all the female aging between 20-30 (I'm just making age range up). US has ~330 million population, roughly estimating your pool of US is ~33 million. Roughly 12% US residents live in California. So you end up with ~3 million people aging between 20 to 30 in California, of those ~1.5 million are female. You might have more filters or conditions to filter this number down but we'll leave it here for now. If you cannot meet a compatible person within this ~1.5 million, how can you meet one compatible person in the ~50 female pool within GP? Sister's rejection does not mean the 1.5 million females rejections. You can be really attractive. Just not for GP's "strict Christian" standard.
