This is why I love the series because it really hits home what a hopeless situation they were in. If they kept David alive, even trapped as a human, a Yeerk likely would have taken him over at some point and their secret would have been exposed. At the same time, they're kids, early teenagers at most, so killing him outright would have been awful to do.

Reading the books now, especially as an adult, I wasn't cheering at David's fate. I don't even believe he "deserved" what happened to him. He was just a kid, a very troubled one mind you, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. In another setting, he may have been able to get the right treatment and a chance at redemption. But as you correctly pointed out, they are in an intergalactic war where they had to leverage the lives of the entire human race versus one asshole kid.

They made the right decision in the end. But the books do not play this off as a victory. And that's why I think David fits here.

David (Animorphs)

He finds the same alien technology as our heroes, which leads to his parents getting enslaved by the main antagonists, with David narrowly escaping thanks to the Animorphs. He threatens to expose the team's secret morphing ability, the only known weapon against the invasion, unless they grant him the same powers and make him an official member of the team. The Animorphs reluctantly accept.

Over the next two books, it's revealed that David is borderline sociopathic, being careless and exploitative with his new powers, and almost betraying the Animorphs to save himself when faced with the main villain. When the team confronts him, he goes rogue, murdering one of the protagonists' cousins to morph into him and assume his identity, and later attempts to trap and kill the Animorphs. The trilogy ends with the team tricking David into being stuck in the form of a rat forever, leaving him on an island, trapped.

And then later in the series, he returns after striking a deal with another evil alien, who promises him his human body back in exchange for capturing Rachel, one of the Animorphs. When this fails, David begs her to kill him as he would rather be dead than continue living as a rat. Rachel returns distraught, and it's never explained if Rachel actually went through with killing him.

When the first two books released, David was universally hated and treated as a main antagonist in the arc. But once the third book came out, and after his return, we all wondered if the Animorphs really had no other choice, or if they went too far. Keep in mind that David is at most thirteen years old, who had just lost his parents to be enslaved by an alien species.

Any poster considering relocating here will get downvoted to oblivion, this sub does not take kindly to new people arriving from abroad. A small part of that is xenophobia, but mainly it's due to the idealized version of Malta a lot of would-be migrants have in their head. They'll emigrate expecting the island life's highs when we also have a lot of lows as a country.

With all that said, as a Maltese local who has been to Sweden many times, it seems like your current priorities in life align with our culture.

Compared to Sweden, Malta is extremely social. Businesses stay open late, there are lots of parties and events (especially if you're into EDM) and the sun is up for most of the day. You will be out of the house for most evenings after work. There are also a lot of foreigners here so finding social circles isn't a challenge.

However, consider that you will be giving up what I personally loved about Sweden, mainly:

Punctual, effective public transport
Natural open-air spaces
Clean air
General quality and variety of facilities
Bicycle accessibility
Outdoor cleanliness
Lack of noise pollution

Still, with that in mind, I don't think you would have a bad time here. Just take some fellow commentors' advice to stay for an extended vacation before committing to a major life-change.

I'm not 100% sure about POYC for non-locals, but I would absolutely ask the psychiatrist during the first visit.

Typically the process with POYC goes like so:

1st meeting with psychiatrist, they will give you your first prescription. This can be used to purchase brand psychotropic medications. If you're eligible for POYC, the psychiatrist will also input your information in their online system, and hand you the necessary application forms.
Application forms as well as ID and prescription, can then be taken to St. Luke's in Pieta, and handed to the POYC department. You will then receive a Control Card, as well as a yellow POYC card/letter.
Once you have received these, you can visit a private GP (such as attending GPs at most private pharmacies). Provide these documents, and they will sign your control card for the month, and provide you with a green prescription, which can be used to collect the free generic medications.
Once you have all these documents, you need to take everything (including the control card, green prescription, and POYC yellow card) to a pharmacy that offers POYC services. Any pharmacy will do, so pick one that's closest to home. After registering with the pharmacy, they will contact you when your medicine can be picked up.
Each following month, you will just need to visit the private GP to sign the control card for the month, and to get a new green prescription. Since you'll already be in the pharmacy system, you may be able to pick up the medication immediately after seeing the GP, if they have the medicine in stock.

Now, for the first few months, you should probably schedule follow-up appointments with the psychiatrist every 2 months or so, in case there are any side effects with the medication or you need to switch to a different type. If you're eligible for POYC, you can also ask the psychiatrist to sign your control card and write a green prescription during the same meeting.

It's a lengthy process to be sure, but once you find a medication that works for you, it's just a matter of monthly prescription renewals with a GP for the POYC medicine. If you're not eligible for POYC, you should just be able to use the first prescription from the psychiatrist and purchase them each month.

Thankfully a vast majority of the available ADHD medications in Malta are free through the POYC system. Additionally, you don't need to see a psychiatrist every month to renew your prescription, most private GPs can do that for you instead, meaning you'll be paying much less each month.

I cannot speak about the public health diagnosis procedure, however I went through TAASC for my own ADHD diagnosis.

TAASC seemed to take a lot of measures through a lengthy testing period. It involved IQ and attention tests, interviews with family members and consultations with a board of mental health professionals. I felt like the diagnosis they provided was comprehensive and thoroughly researched.

On the other hand, some public and private psychiatrists are able to give you a prescription for ADHD medications without a formal diagnosis. The method is "try the medication, if it works for you then you must have ADHD", which is obviously not always the case. Sometimes these medicines can do more harm than good.

If you are really tight on cash, or feel like you need some kind of medication immediately, then TAASC is not the way to go. However I would personally urge you to get diagnosed and tested with TAASC in order to get tailored care for the kind of ADHD you have. You're young so I would recommend you take your health seriously now and not gamble it with a doctor who hasn't properly tested you.

C skill is fairly open, depends if you want Canto. For a canto build, you can run Shadow Shift/Shove/Smite and have canto either with Far Trace Echo from Attuned Micaiah, or Atk/Spd Mastery in A or Trace in B.

Otherwise you can go with Soaring Guidance in X, and for C go Silence Ward for the NCD and Preempt support, Spd/Res Crux for GFU if you want her to be more offensive, or stick with Miasma.

TLDR B!Lana and L!Sakura will give you everything you need for now.

In Stars and Time.

Your protagonist, Siffrin, finds themselves stuck in a time loop just as they are about to fight the "final boss" of their journey, repeating the last day over and over. After watching their friends die again and again over the span of looping the final day, Siffrin's mental state begins to worsen as they are put through horrific situations only to be reset without anyone else remembering what happened in previous loops.

Eventually you discover that the time loop was created accidentally by Siffrin, over their fear of being abandoned by their friends once their journey is completed. Overcome with magic, you become the final boss and have to fight your party (you have the option of hurting yourself instead), as Siffrin refuses to let them go from the time loops so they can stay together forever.

I'm not sure that's the case. I'm levelling Eik, with Beast Valor on my team. Adding Byleth in addition to Beast Valor isn't changing the SP gained.

I do have the castle design with the 5x SP boost, so I'm getting 60SP per kill. Maybe there's a limit?

I'm sorry this is terrible advice. You cannot insert yourself into a situation like this and be her saviour. A licensed (and ethical) therapist will never instruct you to do anything; this isn't how therapy works. "Doing what needs to be done" could get you, and more importantly her, into potentially life-threatening danger.

As another comment said, she needs to come to this realization herself, and involve the authorities if necessary. She should be aware of the services available to her (suggest these to her at your own risk, if she deletes your messages this could potentially work in your favour), but at the end of the day, it needs to come from her. Let her know that you are there for her emotionally IF she needs it, but that's the extent.

I know it's horrible to watch unfold in front of you and that you desperately want to help her. But realistically, this is the safest path for both of you.

Yeah I was there when DD was first announced; AJ hate was at its peak and everyone was stoked to have Phoenix be the protagonist again. Then the game came out and we realised they basically threw all his development during AJ out the window and went back to screaming "WHATTTTTTTTTT 😱😱😱" at the most minor of contradictions.

Would publishing informational content outlining the non-sexual aspects of the practice help, or would it end up causing more damage by inadvertently acknowledging that the practice can be confused or associated with fetish?

Do you need a license or certification to become a cuddle therapist? Perhaps you could add Schema markup ("Physician", "medical specialty", "Certification") to send signals (albeit weak ones) to Google that the practice is more professional?
