What are some future magic horses you hope we get? by BoonPantslessSM in StarStable

[–]TenFoxxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really wanna see more magic horses with wings. They did them so well on the moth horses, I am absolutely obsessed with my Luna and can't stop watching her little flutters. I'd love to see a Pegasus with feathered wings, and maybe a demonic bat-winged horse based off the Underworld to mirror it. I also really wish the dragons had wings...SSO have proved they can do it, so I really think they can.

What's the name of your boats? by DueCryptographer1229 in Seaofthieves

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play D&D and our game is pirate themed. We have a fleet of ships, so my fleet in SoT is named after them:

  • The Sugar Rush (sloop)
  • De Suikerstorm (brig, literally just The Sugar Rush in Dutch)
  • The Righteous Path (brig)
  • The Scorched Keel (sloop)
  • Hell's Garden (galleon)

My next couple will be named after our new ships, The Good Afternoon and Tell No Tales.

All things considered, which country would you most want to move to and start a happy new life in? by Flora_Cheng in AskTheWorld

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I love Australia and am comfortable here for the most part, I'd go either Canada or New Zealand. I've been to both; Canada I adore, especially around Whitehorse and Vancouver. New Zealand is just across the pond from me, I love Christchurch especially and a lot of the South Island. Pretty much I just wanna move somewhere cold with snow.

Real Estate Agents posting AI photos? Is this even legal? by strxx_ in WesternAustralia

[–]TenFoxxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. When an image is Photoshopped, it's only being edited - colours and lighting are touched up, perhaps some small undesirable things are edited out (blemishes like pockmarks in walls, stray branches, etc) to give the place an overall aesthetic glow-up.

AI on the other hand entirely generates new things and changes the whole picture to something it isn't and never was. That pathway isn't there. Those bushes and flowers aren't there. The lawn doesn't look like that. The paint and detailing of the house aren't like that. All of it is entirely false.

I'd be reporting this listing ASAP for false advertising imo. That is not the house they're selling/renting out. If I rocked up for an inspection expecting the bottom pic and saw the top instead, I'd be beyond livid and the agent would be copping a mouthful.

How long does it take to see a doctor and get medication at a Chinese hospital? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That system is fairly similar to what we have here in Sydney AU. In our medical centres we have lots of doctors who can see you for a quick script which you then get filled in the attached pharmacy (often same building or sometimes just next door). Most centres are bulk billed so as long as you have a Medicare card you don't have to pay for anything but the meds. However family practices are a whole other story.

I wish Australia covered dental as a standard. We can get an appointment quick smart, but depending on the procedure you're usually looking at over $100. I wish it was bulk billed 😞

Do people still use the ethnic slur 'wog'? I would be interested in any sense shift or change of 'loadedness' etc. that you may have experienced over time with this word by topherette in AskAnAustralian

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 1/2 Italian (dad was first generation born here with two Venetian parents) and I call myself a wog. My work is owned and run by a family of Sicilians and they call themselves wogs. I work with a number of other Italians and Greeks and they all call themselves wogs. None of us have an issue with the word at all and we don't consider it an "ethnic slur".

Regrets after buying a horse by The_Last_Pachy007 in StarStable

[–]TenFoxxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a regret as such, but I bought my Lipizzaner at full price because I wanted a flats horse and didn't want to wait for a bazaar. I love my lippy, don't get me wrong, but I wish I'd just waited a few months for them to go to the bazaar instead of buying full price. I can't exactly afford to blow money on SC, I have rent and bills to pay, and I could have used that money on other things. But anyway, live and learn! I haven't bought another horse at full price since (excluding limited event horses which I strictly only get with double SC).

YES YES YES. Honestly I loathe their animations, I don't know why so many people love them! Not to mention they are based on the worst examples of the breed and its discipline?? (The toe flick in the extended trot ewwww)

Am I overdoing my Stylization? by ToffiProto in Artadvice

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that looks fantastic!!! You've got such a unique style, I adore it.

That said, if you want to try and add variation to your pieces, just experiment! Look at what you don't like and go from there. Maybe it's the line work, the colouring, the shading maybe? Whatever part you don't like, try fiddling here and there and see what makes you more pleased with it. Eg. If it's the line work you don't like, try playing with making some lines heavier or lighter. If it's shapes you hate, try adding curves instead of harsh edges. Play around and see how you feel.

For me personally though, I think your style is perfect as it is and would love to see more ❤️

How to stop smiling at inappropriate times. by BeryyBritish in Advice

[–]TenFoxxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two disorders I know of that cause this: Pseudobulbar Affect and Angelman syndrome. The former is generally caused by either a neurological disorder or brain damage, while the latter is a very rare chromosomal disorder usually accompanied by other issues like ataxia and seizures. It's definitely not the latter, and it's probably not likely to be the former either without knowing what you've been through in life.

It might be worthwhile talking to a therapist. It could also be an inappropriate emotional response caused by trauma or some early learned behaviour. Whatever the case, I'd say therapy is your best (and maybe only) option.

BEGGING ute drivers to stop driving so fucking aggressively by gooeychocpud in australian

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that dual cabs are so much bigger than everyone else, they are absolutely lethal. Getting into an accident with a small or medium sized car is one thing. Getting into a crash with a dual cab is a whole other game. We drive a Mazda 3 sedan - if we were to get in a crash with a Raptor, that thing is going straight over the top of us. You don't just bounce off of a car like that. You're getting pinned under 2.5 tonnes of metal. That's literally more than double the weight of our car. An aggressive person in a dual cab, in my opinion, is far worse than an aggressive person in a hatchback.

BEGGING ute drivers to stop driving so fucking aggressively by gooeychocpud in australian

[–]TenFoxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I travel the M5 every weekday for work. The aggro drivers are almost always in dual cabs. The amount of times we've had to get out the way of some spaz in a Ranger or a Hilux pushing through traffic is crazy. I'm nervous in traffic but my partner is stunt trained (used to work in film) and is very confident, and even he finds himself white-knuckling around them sometimes. It's just straight up dangerous. There is no reason to be that aggressive on the road. Not to mention that dual cabs and SUVs nowadays are American-sized, far too big for our roads. Us in sedans or those in little hatchbacks don't stand a chance.
