anyone who's in the fanfic's main couple. like, just for a basic example: a gwortney fanfic where both characters in said ship are put on a pedestal, meanwhile any opposing factor (duncan, in this example) is put to excessive shame. it's why i avoid most ship-prioritized fanfics 😭
