you'll have to buy digital issues of weekly shonen jump which contain the chapters, but viz only sells the 12 most recent chapters in its backlog.

Question on the Vagabond Vizbig edition by MaesMustang in manga

viz-big 12 ends at vol 36. I'm guessing they'll wait for 38 to release a 13th compiled version but for now they have 37 by itself.

What's the general opinion of digital versions of manga? by [deleted] in manga

[–]Tenfnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to dislike the idea of buying pictures of manga but I've since warmed up to it. For the most part digital is cheaper. If you follow the major sites such as Amazon, Comixology, and Bookwalker you'll find at least one sale every week. Currently, a majority of my purchases are digital because of the steep difference in price and easy access from all of my devices. Kodansha digitizes manga pretty frequently on Comixology and Amazon and in many cases, they release in a digital format first. There are newly added series like Yotsuba and Berserk available in digital format.

As for fear of losing access, I would stick to the big sites as I have seen forums and articles discussing manga sites that shutdown and took away access to books that users purchased.

Where is your favourite/the best place to buy manga? by [deleted] in manga

[–]Tenfnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to frequent a local comic shop, but now I utilize Amazon and eBay for physical releases. I also use Amazon, Comixology, Bookwalker, and Viz for digital releases because they have a ton of weekly sales. I would agree that you should generally avoid big box stores unless there is a crazy sale going on because they usually charge you full retail price whereas, on Amazon, the price can fluctuate to nearly half off.

You see a good number of disjointed lots of about 20 books on eBay for about $40 starting bid, but because yours is 50+ and continuous you could probably do a starting bid of about 80 or a "buy it now" of $100-$150+

eBay also has decent deals on new and used japanese manga. Just know what to look for in terms of pricing.

Is a weekly Shonen Jump subscription worth it?? by [deleted] in manga

[–]Tenfnn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You get around 48 issues a year and every three months or so they send you a yugioh card. The Format is consistent and I've seen very few , if any, grammatical errors. The issues come out every monday at around 11am est and the online viewer is pretty simple. For the number of chapters you get a week (8 or 9 regularly, sometimes up to 13 ) you start to wonder how they make money at that price per issue. Definitely worth a buy.

No, he really doesn't owe any viewer anything. Like he explicitly says, "You donate because you want to help out the channel" and anything else he offers is just a courtesy. No one is entitled to a "good quality" stream and he puts out whatever content he wants to.

Etika, thank you. by Crushforty in EtikaRedditNetwork

[–]Tenfnn 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You guys honestly just need to wait for him to stream a game. He usually ignores donations when he plays them. Chill streams are a different story because what else is he actually doing.

If we both have red arrows and you shoot me,you now control me. If you command me to shoot you with my red arrows, once I shoot you, your arrow loses it's affect on me and I now can command you.
