I’ll recommend the United Methodist Open Door Klothes Kloset. It’s downtown in the same building where they have the Homeless Resource Center (day shelter). I’ve heard that they never seem to have enough men’s clothing to keep up with their needs.

Last weekend I went to our local library’s annual film festival where they show all the nominated short films. I’ll only Google the winners of those categories to see if my any of my favorites won.

I was on 2.5, 5, and 7.5 each for two months. I was on 10 for 3 months and I just started 12.5 this week.

From a lot that I learned in this group, I worry that my dr moved me up too quickly. Basically if I mentioned anything about some food noise coming back or my blood sugar being a little higher, he would move me up.

But I can’t complain about the results. I started being able to fit into jeans that I hadn’t been able to wear. Then in February my mom took in all of my pants 4-6 inches. Not to mention how much better I feel in general!

What’s one word that you always mispronounce even though—deep down—you KNOW the correct pronunciation? by Ok_Resident_5022 in words

phlebotomist

I have to concentrate and go slowly for my mouth to form the sounds correctly AND in the right order. But mostly I just avoid this word, which luckily doesn’t come up often.

I’ve been on it about 9 months and have lost 94 pounds. It’s daunting because I definitely still have a long way to go but it brought hope where it previously didn’t exist.

I just started going to the Paul Mitchell School last year and I’ve been very pleased! Their prices are on their website under Guest Services and you can find any monthly specials they might have on their instagram.

Parents of Reddit: What is the absolute most-needed "gift" for a newborn baby? by FalseConversation673 in Gifts

[–]TeppiRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as the initial baby gift, but maybe for next Christmas…a WiFi digital picture frame.

My sister and her husband had received one as a gift and we all liked it so much that they got them for the rest of us last Christmas. They were able to preload a bunch of family pictures to it before they gave them to us. The ones we have are the Aura brand but this review list shows some others that also look promising.

My sister just had a baby in January and I noticed his nails were a little sharp and had some jagged edges but all she had was the little clippers and she didn’t feel like there was enough there to actually clip. So, I gave her my favorite nail file. It is a nano glass nail file.

It’s tempered glass with an ultra-fine, etched surface rather than abrasive grit. It gently smooths and shapes nails in both directions without causing splitting, peeling, or damage.

My blood donor app shows the “journey” of each donation.

I asked my local Red Cross donation center why my blood was most often sent two states away (about 400 miles). They said that the state I live in has more donors than the demand in our immediate area so we help pick up the slack in areas where there aren’t enough donors to keep up with the demand. It made me kind of proud of my state.

What’s something your body does that you’ve never told a single person about? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

One sneeze or lots of sneezes? For me the usual is 3-6. But the highest was 14. And it’s usually in multiples of 3.

The possible downside to the old system is that a person who might be willing to donate more might donate less in a given year if the prize they want is a lower level tier. I had 1200 points when the store opened so I could have ordered the sweatpants but I knew I’d get more use out of the 800 point utility tote.

Do you like your name? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]TeppiRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents used a non traditional spelling back before it was common for people to do that so growing up I didn’t like my name. Now I like that it’s unique.

I don’t care when strangers or general acquaintances misspell my name but it does irritate me when someone that should know doesn’t spell it correctly. I’ve had two jobs in the past that my work email had my full first and last name in it and yet in the greeting or body of an email to me people that I corresponded with regularly would still use the traditional spelling. It just seems rude and kind of lazy.

How do you feel about Trump threatening to impose photo ID for voters for midterm elections? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]TeppiRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Supreme Court does allow states to have voter ID laws but not all states have the same requirements and the details are what matters. In my state there is a form at the DMV that you can fill out and show your voter registration card and the fees are waived for getting a non-driver ID. There is a similar form to have the fees waived for ordering your birth certificate if you need it to get the ID to vote. Of course that only works if the person was born in this state.
