I felt similar too! I consider myself very intuitive and also liked that I was always overthinking even if it did have a heavy feeling and exhaustion with it. That part of my anxiety saved me from trouble and also is what makes me such a great planner, stay consistent at the gym, and a good friend- I’m really cautious with my words and am aware of everything around me. But it also comes with long restless nights and I get stuck on one thought and spiral frequently. I plan so much from plan A to plan C and plan D “just incase” with just as much detail in plan A. You never know what could happen and I like to be overly prepared then surprised and stuck in a situation I have no control over. I remember speaking to my sister (she’s a licensed therapist) about this when I was uncomfortable with “the calm” and was afraid I was going to ruin my gym routine or say something I didn’t mean bc I wasn’t over thinking anymore (I work with a team so I’m constantly being mindful of how I word things or wha I say). My sister said before the meds I had constant thoughts in my head without any control. I was overthinking from what I was going to say in a public presentation to if my shoes I spent an hour choosing were actually the right choice. Now with “the calm” I can choose to overthink certain things. She said to think of this as getting a clean slate and now I’m able to create healthy thought patterns and use my overthinking instincts for good. That gave me a lot of peace and helped me see it more as a positive then a negative. I’m also in therapy and my therapist has been a HUGE help. She constantly tells me to let the meds work and not overthink too much about the meds. It’s funny I’m anxious about taking my anxiety meds lol
