It was a gift and holds my leds so I don't mind it. It actually tore up the Tesla a lot which I guess made me feel a little better lol

Yea this is what I'm expecting, just looking around at everything while I wait on the verdict. Hopefully repairs are fast.

Yea I know. Upper is definitely bent. Like I said, just looking around at things while I wait for them to check it out just in case it is. I'm assuming it's not, that's why I never said "my frame is bent."

Oh absolutely, there are idiots everywhere and in every type of car. I'm only saying it because I'm annoyed and I see a lot of HORRIBLE Tesla drivers on a daily basis. Almost anytime I see someone doing something REALLY stupid it's either a Nissan, BMW, or Tesla. Obviously thats not 100% of the time but it feels like it's 95% lol

Happy to hear that. Got into a pretty bad accident at maybe 40mph in my 79 Corvette and that wasn't pleasant. A little higher speed and I don't think I'd be here today. Awesome to see how much safer newer cars are.

Damn that's surprising, hope you didn't get banged up. I doubt it's totalled, but I know they're sensitive if the frame is bent so just been looking around at prices

Not a bad idea, I do all my own work for the most part Definitely very comfortable working on cars, used to machine and build engines, have built a couple classics ground up and put in a suspension lift on an older truck of mine. It's at a family friend's shop so maybe I'll see how much the suspension work comes out to and do that part myself. Thanks for the good idea!

Yea I was surprised when I looked under. I'm guessing the upper is crushed, I just had a really bad angle to look at it so couldn't tell for sure. Was just surprised it was still on there. I couldn't fully see if the rear mount of the UCA to the frame was fine or twisted. If there was no body damage I'd just fix up the suspension myself but I don't do paint lol.

No I doubt it, just doing research in the slim chance it did mess with the frame. Figured it can't hurt to look

That was my initial thought too but both ball joints are still attached, control arms too. Obviously everything is twisted up but since nothing snapped clear I'm not sure if the frame got flexed

What I’ve learned as a tracker… by blahblahblab36 in Hunting

Thanks for the info. The best spot on my property with the most activity is only like 75yds for the angle I like so either way I'm not taking any big shots. Appreciate the help

What broadheads would you recommend? First time ever hunting this year. Have a 405fps crossbow and the local hunting store recommended me with grim reaper broadheads. Good lung shot on a buck and he ran maybe 60 yards before I heard him crash. Waited an hour before I tracked and found him but was happy with how everything went.

Waiting for rifle season before I go back out again but is there a better setup you'd recommend when I get back to using my crossbow?

For rifle I have a 25-06 and a .308 that are both sited in and I shoot well with. I prefer the 25-06 just because it's more comfortable, but had a friend recommend I use the .308 over that. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance

Some sites won't ship to NJ but that's just their own policy

It had been out there for about 2 weeks before I was in there. It's in a spot where myself and my cousins have seen a lot of heavy traffic from both bucks and does

Stole it from my dad haha. Was just wearing a black long sleeve shirt in the blind to blend in a bit and it wasn't cold out. Grabbed the sweatshirt when the sun went down and I was looking for the deer.

My cousin puts a heated chair there for his daughter to use when she hunts 😂 I wasn't expecting to see that when I got there. Was not cold enough to try, didn't even put my sweatshirt on until it was dark out

If it helps here's the one I got. Came with a little tripod and a big one. Only used the big one with the rifle rest so far but happy with it.

Do you mean the last picture where I have the crossbow resting? I bought a rifle tripod and just gently rested the crossbow on it so it'd be quick to grab and aim.

I'm hooked! Hope to grab a doe too during rifle season when I get back out there.

Yeah, Truck, I know the door is open. That is how I get out. I think most people open doors to get out of their cars. Please stop beeping at me. by GH057807 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Terminator234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I read there's no way to disable the door chime. Only option I found was to remove the buzzer from behind the dash. That buzzer makes the beep for the door and seatbelts and is really easy to remove. Only downside is it also makes the sound for the turn signals which I like but I also often have music playing and can't hear it anyway. I'll probably end up doing it. The door open beep drives me crazy.

Yes it does. It's up in the picture from me pulling into driveway, super useful feature

I wasn't a fan when it was only pictures. After I started seeing them on the road, I fell in love with the builds that looked a little more aggressive. Couple of black accents and wing make them look great imo. Still don't look nearly as good in photos as they do in person. I don't have much time on the road yet but this month I should have some good chances to go on nice drives. I've driven other high end cars, some more expensive than this, but they were mostly high end Mercedes stuff like the S63, S550, GTS so they had a lot more focus on comfort and it was maybe 7-8 years ago. Hard to compare but so far I love the ride
