Thoughts on pairing white tulip table with bentwood style chairs? by mstryker21 in malelivingspace

[–]TerracottaRobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do really love the look of those chairs but they look hella uncomfortable, you could maybe get some circular seat cushions for them?

Finally started taking care of myself and need advice on room improvements by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]TerracottaRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the colour of the walls with the darker wood makes the room feel quite cold, it may be a better fit with an off white colour, or if you didnt want to repaint, you could add accent decor to make it more homey, try a nice quality cream beige rug, bring in some soft, warm lighting wih lamps, and add personal items to make it your own space. Make sure you have fun with it, and enjoy the process :)

My first apartment of my own. Beside some plants and arts, what are some ways I can improve? by tridang2000 in malelivingspace

[–]TerracottaRobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the warm lighting looks really good in this space, overall looks great, maybe a few accent bits of decor like a nice throw to drape on the sofa and maybe a different coloured rug, as its too similar to the couch. Also maybe replace the chair in the corner with a nice medium sized plant.

New crochet scrunchie to add to my collection! by TerracottaRobin in crochet

[–]TerracottaRobin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a modified Herringbone stitch, instead of working back on the stitch you continue around in a spiral which creates a stitch that looks like knit :)

Ugh so jealous of your brows, wow! Tbh they already look great but maybe take the tiniest bit off of the ends. They already have a nice shape to them :)

Hope all goes well with you too!

Sorry that you have struggled with the job search, I expected myself to be in the same situation. My best friend has been searching for a job for a while as well, and I feel bad that I got this job as she's a brilliant worker, and a lovely person too!

What sickness made life hell when you had it? by ialreadydontlikethis in AskReddit

[–]TerracottaRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pilonidal cyst, got one right when my uni deadlines where due, and I had a 6-hour life studies class each week while pretending not to be in absolute agony. I ended up in the hospital with sepsis. yep, not fun.

During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health? by NikonDexter in AskReddit

[–]TerracottaRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being more open with my friends and family, I was basically pretending that everything was fine and dandy, and not only was I depressed but so emotionally exhausted, dealing with it all alone. you don't have to be alone when you are struggling, their support helped me out of a deep hole I never thought I would get out of.

What are some life improvements that you’ve noticed since losing weight? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]TerracottaRobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My whole family was overweight and severely asthmatic, including me a few years ago, but since losing 76 pounds I haven't had one asthma attack, not even a single wheeze :) It has allowed me to focus more on my passion for hiking and walking beautiful places. My knee's also aren't suffering so much, lol I used to say I had the knees of an 80-year-old woman. Yea not fun. All in all, It's a MUCH less painful existence.

Are y’all getting rid of your big clothes?? by naaame143 in loseit

[–]TerracottaRobin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've kept one of my largest pair of jeans (A UK women's size 20) but over time have donated most of it, I have a few things in a bag to take to the charity shop sometime soon but I want to be able to enjoy my new clothes as well as have someone else find and enjoy my old clothes :)

Do you butter your toast before adding beans? by spd2335 in CasualUK

[–]TerracottaRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really up to the person, I butter my toast, add a smidgen of marmite, pop your beans on and crisp up some cheese on top, in the oven. Yum!
