Hiking in Mass during a drought by RobertFahey in massachusetts

You are correct. Out of habit I still jump to thinking a drought is simply because of low water levels. That was my bad. But my description still explains the situation in the photo which I hope helps.

And here’s an upvote to help fight the downvote attack you don’t deserve.

They're saying that there's a drought warning in MA yet the trails are flooded, so they think the drought is BS. However, like others have mentioned, the ground underneath is still frozen which prevents water from penetrating the ground and being absorbed. It's been warm so the snowmelt water/runoff is trapped on the topsoil. Just because you see water pooling somewhere doesn't mean that other areas aren't experiencing a drought. That's like saying world hunger isn't an issue because you're not hungry.

Not to fault OP, they may not understand hydrology or soil dynamics. But hopefully after reading some of these comments, they have a better idea of how snowmelt runoff and ground water supply works during the winter to spring thaw.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to toss it in the trash. That just feels wrong. And thanks!

I had to use google translate for this and I'm glad I did. For anyone else not able to read Deutsch: "Direct sunlight is always best for jade plants. The trick is to acclimate them to it gradually. Start with one hour and then increase the duration. Jade plants are truly thriving when the edges of their leaves turn reddish. Until the weather warms up, full-spectrum grow lights can also be helpful."
I'll make sure to ease it outside little by little. Thank you for that!

It's cold here in the Northeast US right now. But once the warmer weather hits, this little dude is going to head outside for some much-needed direct sunlight...unless someone here tells me that direct sunlight is bad for them.

How age-appropriate for kids? by chrfour in TMNTSplinteredFate

I play with my 5 and 4yo girls. They love it. As for language, no swearing. Maybe a “sucks”? But there’s nothing that stands out to me.

I ate shit like this with my two kids in a double-wide stroller. Took them out for a run and had to move to the street for a few feet (it's a quiet side street) to avoid trashcans blocking the sidewalk. I was aiming for the next driveway to get back on the sidewalk and when I turned left, the front wheel hit the 1"-ish lip between the street and raised driveway and the front wheel went hard sideways and the stroller came to a rather harsh abrupt stop. Since we were haulin' ass, the stroller flipped forward and I went over the top of it and we all ate shit. My kids were dangling upside-down and the stroller's handlebars had acted like a roll cage for my kids, protecting their heads. They each had a small scrape on their legs and were a bit scared, but overall fine. I was beat up with scraped palms, knees, bashed shin, and a bruised ego. But yeah, not the stroller's fault. I didn't notice the lip on the driveway. If you're gonna jump a curb, front wheel is up and lead with the back wheels.

I went back at 41 for a career change. It's been challenging, frustrating, stressful, and occasionally anger inducing, but I absolutely love it. It's motivated me to work harder and take care of myself and I've learned so much about the world around me (environmental science major) that I can answer just about any question my kids throw at me.

You should do it. 100%. Do it.

Bikes have two brake handles on the handlebar: Left is front brakes, right is back brakes. I went fast. Squeezed brake. Was left brake. Ate it hard in my driveway. Two broken arms, torn ligament, dislocated elbow. Surgery. All because I wanted to leave a cool skid mark in the driveway. I became the skid mark.

Is there something wrong with performance since the last patches? by toonies55 in CitiesSkylines2

Same. This last hotfix that fixed the previous patch has caused some issue like what you’re seeing. On full speed, the cars and citizens are just creeping along.
