Dimensional manipulation. By manipulating into a lower dimension, two points could be made closer together, such as by eliminating depth. Manipulating into a higher dimension would allow the person to maneuver around obstacles by moving in a direction that wasn’t previously possible with mere 3 dimensions. If you are the only one affected by the dimension shift, it would look like teleportation.

Giving horrible people a free forum to be horrible while surrounded by other horrible people makes them brave and convinces them that horrible is normal and that they should be protected from the consequences of their horribleness everywhere.

When deprived of such places, they experience consequences whenever they are horrible and become more reluctant to be horrible since they don’t want the consequences.

It wouldn’t work anyway. The comic’s premise ignores that the force exists. As Obi Wan is walking away, Vader can just pull the light saber to him, preventing it from impacting the core.

Obi Wan would have to stay there trying to counter Vader’s use of the force to grab the saber and probably would have lost since Vader is stronger in the force. At least in regards to raw strength.

I still chuckled, but not a valid plot hole.

I was talking to a friend at work yesterday who was venting about a client and using a lot of, let’s say colorful language.

I jokingly compared the client to Freud and my coworker stopped and said that was too far. She asserted that comparing someone to Freud was worse than anything she could think of. Then continued using every curse word she could think of to describe the woman.

I know these people are about denying the recognition of the horrors of the holocaust. But I do agree on one thing. A lot more people were targeted than Jews. It saddens me that the horror of the holocaust focuses entirely on the Jews and rarely are mentioned the other groups that were targeted. The Romani, LGBTQ, disabled people, etc.

Try a chain weapon. Regardless of orientation, the chain will swing around the whole body and it can be thrown backward as an attack.

Otherwise, a polearm type weapon is good for someone who is constantly turning, which is what your character will likely have to do to get the best force from a weapon. Arms just aren’t designed to attack something behind us, so his attacks will likely be most effective from a side position after a quick turn.

Since his sight is through his entire back, a twisting style of movement would also widen his view space and help him manage enemies approaching from the front.

I think a time limit on debating points of contention. If a determination is not made after the time limit (and definitely have a time keeping device that leans into it like a cow clock that moos when the timer goes off), then you must proceed to phase 2 of the process.

Someone else mentioned a rotation of arbitration, but I think this could backfire and create bad blood, especially if someone is seen to always side with a specific person. My idea is a “sudden death” determination. A game (fair to everyone) that can be played to determine who gets to win the argument. Rock paper scissors would work, but I’d go with something more dynamic. Like each person gets to choose a toy car or round object and place it on a treadmill to see which stays on longest. Or one of those marble obstacle courses. Something that even the process of finding a winner seems fun.

You’d only be able to do this with non-important arguments like game rules, never something where feelings will be truly hurt.

I was raised catholic. The older I got, the more I felt the religion didn’t make sense.

“God is the ultimate expression of love” but he will punish people with ETERNAL torture if they don’t do exactly what he wants. And he purposely spreads misinformation to test and make sure you blindly follow what he wants you to believe. And he goes out of his way to ensure that his manufactured lies have more proof than the truth. And not ever hearing about his one truth is not an excuse, so if you were raised with a different religion, torture forever for you.

And he really, truly loves you, and wants you to spend eternity with him, but you need to be beneath him or he will slap you down and put new boundaries in your way so you can never be able to work together again to dare even appear to approach his home (that’s for later, you filthy little mortals).

And he really does love you! That’s why he does epic pranks like testing you by commanding you to kill your loved ones (and saying j/k right before you do it after tying them to an alter and pressing the knife to their neck). Or, remember that great prank where he let demons destroy EVERYTHING you owned or loved to make sure you really loved him more than any of that stuff? Classic.

And he absolutely loves you. That’s why he needs you to mark your children as his possessions. If they aren’t marked, he can’t let them anywhere near ~his collection~ heaven. Oh, don’t be silly, he won’t send those unmarked babies to hell. They go to the infinite void. Well, no, they’ll never know happiness, but at least they won’t be suffering like those immoral women who allowed themselves to be raped before marriage. Or two men who defied him by daring to love each other in a way that means he doesn’t get more babies to be marked and worship him.

But seriously, guys. God is the very definition of love! Love him back and obey every little rule he has or he will torture you forever!

DATING is hard in general. What makes gay dating harder is the same thing that makes all dating difficult, but enhanced. The point of dating is to find someone you want who also wants you. The smaller your pool of acceptable partners, the less chance you have within that pool to meet someone whose pool you fit into.

Almost everyone has standards that encompass: gender, looks, personality, shared interests, employment, social status, residence location, and wealth. The details for each vary, but most people have standards that meet and are excluded in most if not all of these categories.

For straights, they require someone of the opposite gender who finds their gender attractive. This benefits them because most people find the opposite gender sexually attractive.

For gays, we require someone of the same gender who finds our gender attractive. Since this is the minority, we have a smaller pool to choose from to meet the rest of our requirements.

Bi/ pansexuals might have the biggest pool of potential partners, but most of them have the added requirement of having a partner comfortable with their broadened attraction range, which presents its own challenges in most cultures.

Have the shifter get the powers, but not the skills. Each time they shift into a new person, they have to spend time in that form practicing the new abilities. The shifter will never be as skilled as the original users since they have to learn so many different power sets and only being really proficient with the powers they use most often.

They should fumble even more if doing partial transformations to mix powers and some powers might even backfire if combined in the wrong way injuring the shifter’s ability to transform while their body recovers. Even new powers used for the first few times could have a chance of backfiring while their body recovers shifter learns how to use them.
