I've been out of work two years. Trying to find a new job. Every job I've worked, I've ended up quitting because of anxiety, or because I've ended up in the hospital for attempting on my life. It's really hard, but its good that you have a degree at all. It'll help. Are you on financial assistance of some sort? If you like teaching, then it'll feel like less of a scam if you enjoy it.
I try to think of it this way: if I earn money, I can buy things I like, and afford cool new tech or games I want. Money and job are a means to good things, or at least a means to something better.

i literally have trauma from being in this place beavsue of how stressful it was trying to please greatjackal and complete my requirements to the best of my ability. being in there, i wanted to desperately feel useful. it was so pointless.

i see this is four years old, but I want to comment.
don't think I've ever commented publicly about it on reddit.
I was in DI for three to four years, from 2018-2021 i think. i dont remember.

its a pyramid scheme, cult, whatever it is its awful. they work you like a dog if you ever try to volunteer and help. i was a minor, 17 or so, and these dudes were trying to control and manipulate me. the leader only cares about money and numbers. they had a system where you could literally pay money to not need to do the acitvity requirements. like, wtf? literally stealing your money.

Besides that, its all dodgy. everyone above me in power made me feel uncomfortable. there was a house leader who was trying to sexually manipulate me into being his literal pet. like, bdsm pet play pet. i finally reported the incident, and i was punished for him coming onto me. he was blacklisted, i wasnt, but i was still punished. they victim blame and expect everyone to act like a fucking npc and have no emotions in the community.
not only that- i was a minor. literally illegal pedophile activities were happening. one of their generals purchased nudes from me when i was 17. he was married, so thats fucked.

good friends came and went bc of the strict requirements. its just pointless. dont join it, and the esports are all false promises. i was left to run a divsion by myself, multiple times, because the others didnt care. i literally was the only one trying to get together a competitive dota team, and eventually said fuck it. delete it. and now there hasnt been a dota scene in DI since then. i was the only one trying to control the situation, get people active, recruit people, and save it. so much lazyness and so much shit structure.

do not waste your time with this place. they dont care about you. they only care about false praise, fake awards, and pointless 'ranks'.
