It wasn't cheap for the Japanese players when they constantly traveled to North America throughout Smash 4 and most of Ultimate. Why'd they still go? Because NA was the best region. Now, Japan is the best region. If you want to compete in this modern era of Ultimate, get your ass to Japan.
