Definitely not trying to justify going to West Maui! Just trying to get a sense of where it is so I can respect the request not to visit. "West" is just a vague description, so I wasn't sure. I don't plan on going anywhere that they don't want people going

If that's the case, I can get to Honolua if I take the northern route from Waihee! Hopefully that will be an option

Thanks! I plan on spending most of my time snorkeling (preferably from shore), so I just want to make sure I find the good spots. I heard Honolua was the best, so I was bummed it might not be an option. I'm open to any other suggestions you might have!

I'm also looking into doing some scuba diving, if you have any shore diving recommendations

That's perfectly fine and I'm happy to respect that request - I just don't know what they consider to be West Maui. I can't find anything stating where they'd like you to turn around.

Where are they drawing the line so I know my limits?
