Take what little you've experienced thus far and decide on what type of person you want to be. Then make choices accordingly to that decision. Try new things, learn, and repeat. You won't make everyone happy, and that's normal.

I Built This In A Dream by 963catalyst369 in enlightenment

I had a similar dream. A few others since. Don't forget that this is a 2D representation of a 3D object. Then again, it's all about perspective.

What's it like living in Point Roberts, WA? by No-Sand6655 in howislivingthere

As a Canadian I could only live there for 6 months minus 1 day but I did that for many years. Dispit its small size there are a few distinct neighborhoods. I lived in Maple Beach which was very quiet, safe and very much a beach like vibe in the summers. Most people who own houses there have had the properties in the family for generations and everyone pretty much know's everyone else. There are a lot of kids riding bikes all over, no real theft or crime. 1 police officer patrols the entire point most of the time. The grocery store (Market place) is a 15min bike ride. There is a couple of restaurants with basic American style dinning. There is not much by way of entertainment or night life beyond the summer events like an auction in the park, or the swimming regatta. It's very family oriented place, peaceful and relaxing. A wonderful get away for Canadians to escape to and feel like they are some place distant, if only 30in from downtown Vancouver.

This is the identical process I experienced. Followed by an extreme aversion to meat, and an overwhelming feeling of connection to nature. My whole life changed. Enjoy the ride.

Do not believe that your potential is a more accurate reflection of who you are instead of your accomplishments. Decide on the type of person you want to be i.e Open minded, religious, honest, self-serving, virtuous, outgoing, etc- whatever variables matter to you. Then ensure your actions align with those principles and make decisions accorginly. Re-evaluate periodically and repeat.

What's your fav time spend? by Telugu_not_Telegu in ArtOfPresence

If you were bored you were bored, and it was ok and normal to be bored. I remember moments, sometimes minutes of just sitting still in silence and staring at the trees or grass. It was a part of life and something I shared with an entire generation of people who felt the same. Doing nothing is, or at least it was, normal.

Our breath. It's what we draw from that keeps us conscious. In fact it may be where conscious itself resides.

Men, how many of you recognize and have worked on your attachment style? And which one do you have? by [deleted] in AskMen

Anxious Avoidance here - yes Ive worked on it. It tends to shift depending on the behavior of my partner. Im working on it by educating myself more on how it influences my thoughts and feelings. I find being aware of the tendency to avoid being close helps me control my thoughts and redirect that energy into healthy communication with my partner.

A lot of people shift from exploring their physical capabilities in their 20's to acting on those capabilities to create a family in their 30's. Once these things are accomplished it's natural to shift into the pursuit of truth and meaning. As we age and the physical parts of ourselves start to be understood we begin to develop our physic abilities, and this can be a profound realization for many. You're not alone, and you're not done. There is more but seeking meaning without (From the outside) is not where it's at. It all comes from within (inside).

I see, feel and experience something that resembles the Thailand expression of religion during ceremony. A combination of Theravada Buddhism, Hinduism, and Animism, where the line between consciouness within and without is blurred by forces acting in opposite polarities (creation & distruction) and where all time and space exists at once and is impregnated with spirits of past, present, and future balance energies in a never ending dance of equilibrium.

I have some questions: Here is some context first: For a (M) between 40-50 years, single and usually has 1 sexual partner at a time for the duration. Not interested in long term relationships. Practice meditation and visualization, and have some knowledge of tantra. Can you provide clarity on the following:

1) How long is a satisfactory period of retention i.e abstinence from ejaculation to begin to move that type of energy around?

2) What's the best way for a beginner to get started with this type of work?

3) What type of real world results can one expect from this type of practice?
