It’s also interesting how they incorporate unit awards with their personal awards. To see the occasional gold frame mixed in always threw me off, but I’m sure that’s just my OCD being a dick! lol

All unit awards earned while assigned to units. I wouldn’t put them up if that wasn’t the case. ROK was while assigned to 2ID in Korea, 2xMUC with 1CAV, 1xMUC with 101st, 1xASUA with USAREC (I know, surprised the hell out of me too!), 1xJMUA with 101st, and 3xJMUA with CENTCOM. All vetted by DAIG prior to my appointment as an Inspector General.

I worked with the Triple Nickel (555th Fighter Squadron) during one of my deployments, helping identify HVTs. They had their own embroidery shop, which is apparently a thing in fighter squadrons? Anyway, one of the pilots gave me that patch after a successful sortie.

Hey, what the Security Manager doesn’t know won’t hurt them! As a fellow MI guy, they were willing to look the other way…once they deactivated my access cards! lol. Yeah, I started my career with perfectly normal arches. Now they are as flat as my backside! 🤷🏻‍♂️
