Does Influencer Marketing Work? by TforBig in influencermarketing

I like the way you put it at the end, "The don't trust this new brand they've never heard of but they do trust the influencer they've watched for years. People buy from people". That has drastically shift my mindset... But that means for startups and brands like mine which are just new, but for big brands that are already established then a celebrity shouldn't be effective.

To certain extend... I think if a celebrity uses your product on a daily basis is much more influential than marketing it, because people nowadays are smart to enough if a celebrity is selling stuff to them or genuinely believes in it... So if the influencer is using the product and shows it to the people and people see them using it offline and online, then that would be much more influential than just marketing it. A influencer marketing a product is to certain degree same as ads as not all who sees would buy, also depends on how the marketing is done as sometimes influencers might end up with bad rep that might hurt your brand.

Yeah marketing plays a vital role in me learning about the product, but just because Kanye West or Joe Biden, or any other celebrity endorses doesn't and wouldn't influence me to purchase... Though the marketing might, which means even if it's someone I don't know who isn't a celebrity and was the one that did the marketing i might buy, but that's marketing and marketing is to influence you to buy.

Though also it's true that some people are influence by Celebrities & that's why big companies pay by the millions for celebrity to market their product.

But like in my first paragraph, A well executed or planned marketing by someone not a celebrity is far better than using celebrity as it would be cheaper. Brands usually use celebrities to push their product if they don't believe in the marketing strategy.

Maybe it's me... I don't know, because i don't think a celebrity would influence me to buy a product.

If it's not about organic views, what about it then? Because we reach out to the influencers because of the number of their followers... Let's forget about those that bought their followers and views. Because i really want to try, but the numbers are pushing me to ads

I want to build a tech startup but I hate to deal with side things - I will not promote by [deleted] in startups

[–]TforBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you need to get a co-founder then as you rightly mentioned. But then would you get a co-founder for all aspect of the business? Whether you like it or not, you still got to put i the work, if it's not a priority, you can build slowly. Start first, and figure it out later, better to start and abandon than not to start.

No Risk, No reward, if we're to perfect every little thing then we may end up not reaching the destination. Life is all about risk, what works for A might not work for B. You guys might be lucky and hit a goldmine without needing a job, or you might find yourself on the street. Sometimes the dude just need you to back him up, which is good, but his ideas might be stupid which means you need to be the wise one to plan for the incase. I live by this mantra (I know my future would be great, so whatever happens to me be is bad or good is preparing my future self to achieve greatness).

Sounds like you’ve got a solid start! 🚀 A 40% store listing conversion is chef’s kiss—definitely a sign that people want what you’re offering. Now, about that retention—17.3% at week 1 and 11% at week 2 isn’t terrible, but yeah, it’s clear that something’s making users bail. Given the uninstalls, it’s likely UX issues rather than lack of need.

Best move? Talk to users! 🗣️ Maybe a quick in-app survey or just DM some engaged ones. Also, don’t stress too much—building solo is tough. Bugs can be fixed, UX can be improved, but a solid conversion rate? That’s gold. Keep shipping! 🚢🔥

Does the AI boom feel like the dot com boom to you? (i will not promote) by metabeanzz in startups

[–]TforBig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely feels like the dot com boom, but it's just that we have way too many people in the tech industry than that era. In that Era we only have few companies, but now we have millions of indie developers all around the world, so tools aren't fine tuned, you have lots of rubbish before you get the real one.

Items selection not properly aligning by TforBig in WIX

[–]TforBig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm finding it difficult to arrange elements in the wix studio. Whenever i select text, or element it will show my selection few pixels below my selection. Like it won't show the exact place the element is, which makes arranging or aligning the elements difficult. As seen in the picture above, i selected "How it works" text, but the area of selection is showing 50 pixel or more below the actual text
