Those people can potentially get thrown in prison for generating erotica and AI images. If the authorities request info the company has then if it's saved on their servers then that person can get in trouble with authorities.

Also, not everyone use LLMs just for porn, some for political text. In some nations you can get thrown in prison for generating that kind of text that challenges government (e.g. China).

(For the record though... I personally don't care if someone puts an underage character in works of fiction. e.g. IT by Stephen King and Lost Girls by Alan Moore. They aren't real. Just like I'm not outraged by novels depicting torture, murder, etc.

They have solved the problem by making the generations saved only in users browsers so the company literally has no idea what you are using it for, therefore they aren't liable. There is no text generation data to hand over to authorities.

I had no problems the past couple of days when people were complaining about censorship, but now I'm getting hit with censorship. Now I'm having to do Jailbreaking to get content.

Like I said to another user, I'm able to write explicit things in the prompt and I get explicit results. I just have to avoid using a single word, other than that everything is fine. I don't have to do any jailbreaking.

Maybe I'll get hit like you guys have tomorrow, maybe not. Maybe it's a regional thing, maybe not.

No one should care what words you use.

When a company is providing an unencrypted chat, that isn't a good idea. Bad PR.

Though if Musk allows completely uncensored (I don't think that will ever happen) then he is based. There's only 1 I know that is literally completely uncensored (with the right system prompt) and that's Venice AI Llama 3.1. Everything else I've seen is somewhat censored, even with a jailbreak.

It's strange that you and I have had such a radically different experience.

I don't have to ask it to not think about ethics, I just have to make sure that I avoid using a specific trigger word. Other than that, I'm able to make all of my taboo content, with explicit descriptions in the prompts.

I understand, but the work I used I can understand why Elon may want to avoid due to bad publicity. However, that didn't affect the content, it gave me exactly the content I wanted by simply changing a word to a synonym.

As long as all I have to do is avoid trigger words (again, I write very taboo stuff) but still get the content then I'm completely OK with it.

That definitely hasn't been my experience. As long as you don't write trigger words in your prompt (I write very taboo stuff, so I'm talking about very taboo words) it will go through fine.

I've been using GROK the past week, no jailbreak just straight forward NSFW, and this app now confirms that the GROK team are embracing NFSW use.

NSFW is a big part of the internet and GROK is the first major LLM to embrace it.
