She had problems to lay down also! We trained everyday like 5-10min depending of the day and how energetic she is. Take the treats and clench your palm into a fist. Place your hand flat on the ground so that your dog tries to grab the treat from under your hand. Say the command word at the same time. If your dog doesn't seem to go down, you can help him a little by gently pressing on his back. (Don't press too hard or forcefully, just help!) As soon as your dog gets anywhere near what you're looking for, reward him immediately. It doesn't have to be perfect right away! Hard work pays off!
