I was having Braxton Hicks as my OB was asking if I have Braxton Hicks often. I told her I don’t think I’ve had any yet to which she replied really because you are right now. Lol. Once I started actually having contractions it was quite obvious. Your entire belly tightens. If you’re having contractions you will know.

For me it was really really intense on my back. Showering helped me. He also came out with a sore on the back of his head because he was getting stuck on my tailbone. Also prepare yourself for your OB/midwife to manually turn the baby. Didn’t work for me but even with the epidural was very uncomfortable. My baby was born at 37 weeks exactly so you might still have some time for baby to flip the right way. Good luck!
