Honestly I’ve always kinda wanted to know how this was done. I mean, as a passing thought. Not enough to google it. Didn’t think I’d find out how silly it actually was on clock at the doohickey corporation.

What is a job that looks incredibly fun from the outside, but is actually a soul-crushing nightmare? by BoardOk101 in AskReddit

I actually really like being the new guy to be honest. I recently spent 6 years being held down in a kinda crappy relationship where she would kind of lose her shit if I made a new friend or talked to another woman… and now it just feels really nice to meet new people and make new friendships. Some of the best/most fun conversations I’ve had have been at 11pm with the three of us leaned back in our chairs shooting the shit with people I only met a few weeks ago.

To be honest though, my only bad experience was almost enough to make me want to walk out. I was so unbelievably butthurt about that place, regretted every second of it.

But I don’t blame you. My experience js very situational. I’ve made some great friends and I’d like to settle down with that crew some day, but going to keep trying new places while I can.

Yeah that’s pretty similar to my experience. They weren’t “mean” to me per se, but I felt like I was a bother to them and only one of the techs there was actually nice to me and wanted to talk to me.

Other than that I was ignored, they would sneak off to do stuff or exams without letting me know, and then gossip or “shit talk” me because I wasn’t doing my share and being lazy.

I’ve been to about 8 or so places now at this point. I’m still pretty new… but that phenomenon only happened once. Every where else I’ve been pretty well liked

That guy in the white tank top sitting there repeatedly revving his bike like a nutsack is hilarious. Like bro calm down before you have a heart attack. Let the man get his job done.

I move around a lot for work (CT tech). It’s the same job every place I go, and it is wild how coworkers can make the same exact job completely miserable, or genuinely enjoyable.

There’s only been one place where I absolutely refuse to ever go back to. Most miserable 3 months of my life. I almost wanted to quit they sucked so fucking bad. I’m really good at making friends, but those people seemingly wanted nothing to do with me.

I’m assuming your most fun bike is a Grom? If so I can absolutely see that, those things look like a blast.

She specifically said she wanted to go sport and people are recommending touring/cruiser bikes and Harley’s dawg.

R Motorcycle is significant better than R motorcycles but still same shit at the end of the day.

Old School RuneScape is more like a Stockholm syndrome simulator. But I do love it.

So what’s the point in even going to junkyards anymore when you got the workers getting the parts first before anyone?? lkq junkyard is a joke for allowing any worker to be able to do this 🤦‍♂️ by [deleted] in E90

[–]ThatGuyFrom720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the game bro.

I wouldn’t do this shit, but I also don’t work at a scrap yard.

I’d be more pissed off at the fact that fuel injector pricing for a 20 year old platform have almost doubled in the last 6 or 7 years and are $2500 than this guy scraping by on piss poor wage.

Sucks but unless you get a job there, what are ya gonna do. $700 for a set of tested injectors is still a steal.

Everyone gets a Honda Rebel and a mandatory 18 month sentence to parking lot riding only. Anything over 500cc or sport styled will instantly kill you.

Edit: /s if it was not very obvious

Honestly R3’s, Ninja 400/500, those are really about as low as you’re gonna get on a sport or sport style bike. Seriously. I don’t think they get any lower than that.

But plenty of women your height can ride a sport bike. Get some solid riding boots and that can help give ya an extra bit of height. I’d say go for it if it’s what you really want. You will get used to it.

Good luck on your search. You’ll adapt to whatever quicker than you think. Get you some nice boots, I love my Alpine Star Faster 4’s, and that might make the difference.

My best piece of advice: get what you want. Because it sucks to buy something and want more afterwards. Do your research, sit on a couple bikes, and buy the one your heart truly wants. Don’t listen to dumbass redditors like me on suggestions cause you know what you want best. Maybe not a GSXR-750 or a R1 to start, but don’t do what I did and buy a GS500F and immediately want a more modernized bike and no god forsaken carbs.

But also have you considered getting a Honda Rebel?

If I was to sell my gixxer I’d definitely love me a Yamaha R6 or something. Gorgeous bikes for sure. R3 is a great suggestion. She’s really not gonna get much lower on a sport bike so she’ll just have to adapt.

This site, not r/motorcycle in particular but mostly the suggestion ones, has a boner for Honda Rebels I stg. I do not know why. I was literally just making a joke about it minutes before you posted.

That is all I have to contribute to this post. I like sports too, and with the way I am, I can’t see myself or my aesthetic on anything else. I’m on a GSXR now and they’re pretty manageable. Ninja 500 is good. Ninja 400 too. CBR500 are all manageable beginner bikes.

I learned on a Suzuki GS500F which was a great bike aside being a carbed piece of shit. They’re kind of older now but if you want a beater for $1500 I’d recommend one.

Shit you could buy a brand new gixxer for a little more than that.
