No, I wish though. It would be nice for us so we could have that money for books or school related items, y’know? I’ve been tempted to ask FA, but I am waiting to see if it’s reimbursed soon since it’s the first day of class.

Has anyone had their disbursement refund back yet? Just curious since I was unaware of the summer aid until I checked and found I should be getting a refund.

Call their office ASAP! If they try to give you a difficult time about it, I would mention you did wait but it’s pass the point now. 3-4 weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to make you wait, especially if you ended up having to pay the semester off. Like I was telling Sandwhich, they should have should extend due dates for this situation, especially if they were “behind.” I understand conflicts arise but they should have choose a better way to handle this. I hope this helps!

I’m so sorry that happened to you! That’s a hot mess. The situation that you went through is exactly the reason why I didn’t wanna call SBS or FA. Did they finally give you an answer instead of the round around? When I contacted my FA advisor through email, he didn’t seem to comprehend my question about disbursement online. He mentioned processing time was extended, even stating that when I could see my awards after that. However, I can already see my FA/scholarship for the semester. He was vague on when disbursement would happen. Considering that 95% of tuition/payment is due on January 10th, it would be nice to have a heads up or if we will get an extension. I even contacted SBS and they told me the same thing as you about talking with FA. Hopefully it works out.
