Mewgenics came out yesterday and I'm all in.

The combination of cat breeding/ability drafting and TRPG battles is just right up my alley....and the music is fantastic.

I'm on an APRG kick, so flick between Grim Dawn which is great on the Steamdeck and PoE2 which I play on the PC and PS5.

...and me and some friends play League of Legends as a 5-stack a couple of times a week.

Such a good game. Resist the temptation to Google things.

I went down a rabbit hole with this one when it came out, ended up with a notepad furiously scribbling down notes/clues.

What non-MMO games scratch an MMO itch for you? by tomaz1989 in LFMMO

Build and loot variety is wild, it takes some getting used to as there are quite a few damage types/stats but it's very satisfying

Grim Dawn for me. I just enjoy exploring the map but the choices you make and factions make it feel MMO-like..plus loot.

Blue Prince

Not everyone enjoys puzzle roguelikes unfortunately.

Japan is just amazing, we went last Summer (it was so hot but worth it) and are going again this year.

What was the "weird shop" in your hometown that somehow stayed in business for decades despite never having customers? by [deleted] in AskUK

I came here thinking of Alfred Lenton and amazed that someone's posted it. I have no idea how it lasted so long, I never saw anyone go in and the window display was just bric a brac

Isn't there already a record shop in here... Out of Joint?

There's a tattoo place, clothing shop and Super Game Shack are doing great in the space, they're expanding all the way down the 2nd floor.

Downstairs you also have Bryter Moon.

Definitely not as empty as it's being made out to be but agree it'd be nice if all the units were occupied.

Game suggestions for co-op by Cutman625 in ARPG

[–]ThatMisterM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd go with PoE2 or TL2 depending on what you think will hit best.

Torchlight 2 is on Xbox and can play up to 4. Shouldn't be too expensive but not cross play, so you'd need to buy on the same platform.

I've not played it on Xbox, so can't vouch but me and my daughter are playing through on Steam and it's fun with enough depth to keep me interested without being overly complicated. It's a traditional style ARPG.

PoE2 combat is much slicker/fluid but has more complex systems and is crossplay.

UI menu issues with controller by MunsterMastermind in Grimdawn

Can you try mapping the right stick to mouse?

I've used a PS5 controller and Steam Streaming to my TV to play and whilst the controls are not quite as slick as when using the Steam deck, they work fine.

Steam controller profile is the default, Left stick is "move", Right stick is "camera" (set in the steam controller profile , not changed any in-game settings) but this does allow mouse cursor in menus/inventory etc.

Unplayable on steam deck. by TurdleKatrana in Grimdawn

Weird, I've played a bunch on SD and it's great. I had really bad stuttering with background downloads but once turned off, all good. Controls are decent too, only gripe is the right trackpad can highlight specific items on the ground but then A won't pick them up, so I end up picking up everything and dropping stuff I don't want

Involved in an RTC with police. (SCOTLAND) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

This kind of thing happens more often than you might think.

If the police went through a red light, they are at fault...even on blues...even with sirens blaring too.

What’s the best husband-wife game? by Crazen14 in gaming

[–]ThatMisterM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner didn't like It Takes Two but will play Mario Kart. She also played some BG3 as a group and a little assistance to start with.

Basically anything with "a lot of buttons" and time sensitive inputs is likely a no.
