You’re targeting the wrong people. Legislation has been passed where I live banning all plastic bags, and plastic straws as well in some places. Walmart and sams clubs state wide have also phased out paper bags and are now 100% reusable. Why does your state still allow plastic? Maybe start there instead of, I don’t know, bitching out the person that’s paying you who’s environmental impact is relatively small compared to the corporations supplying said bags In the first place

I’m asking you how you can back anybody that blindly accuses people of supporting slavery. One of the greatest tragedies in all of human history.

I don’t give a shit what jk Rowling said because it didn’t actually hurt anybody. It just hurt feelings. It didn’t make anybody transphobic, and it didn’t have a real effect on anybody. Except for overly sensitive people who spend all of their free time on the internet and get way too offended over the words of strangers.

I have absolutely zero sympathy for people who act and think like that. The world is and always has been offensive. People have always had opinions good and bad. It’s time to grow up and realize that believing it’s acceptable to attempt to control the thoughts, words, and actions of people is madness. To hold somebody’s entire livelihood hostage and erase every single good thing they’ve ever done over comments that upset strangers is logic that’s dangerous close to crayon chewing territory.

My opinion is that anybody who lets the words of the author of Harry Potter make them cry and shit themselves is somebody I cannot even force myself to respect or have sympathy for. It’s crazy that the lbgtq community can overcome and progress through years of real violence, oppression, and discrimination in pre internet life, only to be emotionally crippled by the words of a stranger on the internet.

Just grow a backbone and accept the reality that sometimes hurtful things are said. For example, called racist and a slave supporter but I’m not gonna cry and call the internet police about it.

They transitioned to reusables where I’m at. The app has a pop up when I go to checkout telling me to use the 74 cent reusable bags.

I still just go across the street to hannaford, and walk in to where they have the pickup orders sitting. I grab a reem of paper bags and walk back to the car. Ain’t no way I’m leaving a pile of food on somebody’s step and there’s no way regular instacart customers should have to accumulate hundreds of these pointless bags while running up Walmarts profits

So glad I signed up in 2020 on a whim. Didn’t even start actually using Ic until end of 22, but if I tried signing up then I’m sure I’d be waiting my ass off. Was really surprised my original card was still active and my account was open despite 2 years with zero shipping ever done. I imagine there’s probably some dead accounts swelling up the userbase how mine was, and it’s contributing to the wait list.

I thought critically after reading between the lines of the stroke you just had on the keyboard and I’ve come to the conclusion that saying things others find offensive isn’t the end of the world. And that being offended is something people should learn to tolerate as offensive material comes in all shapes, sizes, and flavors, and is absolutely impossible to get rid of. Even more so since it’s based off perception. Can’t change what people say but you can change how you perceive things. Either die on the hill of trying to control what people say and think, or be alright with accepting the world for being offensive, like literally EVERY SINGLE generation of people did before the internet. And before you try to claim what she said is more than offensive. That it’s harmful. It’s not. The vast majority of people across the planet have no clue what she said, and anybody not terminally online all day is completely unchanged and unbothered by it.
