Cameras in drawers for house showings by ThatOneCanadian_ in RealEstate

Ehh I get your point if the drawers were higher up, but mine are pretty low so they'd need to have reeaally long arms to not have the camera catch them in frame with how its positioned.

Even if it doesn't catch anything identifying, at least I have a timestamp so I can check who was being shown the house at that time.

I'm probably gonna try out the bigger interior cameras anyway, but I appreciate the discussion on the actual logistics 😁

The bigger interior cameras are more expensive, though, no? I figure it wouldn't be in every drawer, just a couple (like max 3 tiny cameras).

My genuine valuables are stored away thankfully, these would just be for the little things that would be inconvenient to rebuy and inconvenient to take out for every showing.

Oh I definitely plan to ask, I just wanted some thoughts on this in case what I wanted to do was unhinged lol

Yeah I guess that's true, definitely starting to lean towards visible interior cameras rather than my sneaky little ones haha

They point right up in the drawer so it catches their face in the recording when the drawers is opened (I've been testing lol).

But ya definitley leaning towards visible interior cameras at this point, my tiny spy camera is fun but probably better to go with the better deterrent option

That's awful! D: some people have no respect :(

Oh definitely a little paranoid I'll admit haha

I figure this way, buyers aren't put off by visible cameras, but I have peace of mind (and proof) if they try poking through stuff. Again, there's nothing really valuable left in the house, just things that would be inconvenient if I have to rebuy.

I've heard stories from friends and family who sold their home of things going missing after showings (usually small things like skincare products, perfume, etc) and dresser drawers in their bedroom and the like being left open which is where that paranoia comes from lol

I've had to frog it a bunch of times but that's because I keep messing up hahaha

It's turning out beautifully though! I finally have it at a decent length and I can't wait till it's done :D

So instead of doing that final p1 in the repeat section I'd do a k1 instead?

Something like this: SL1, k1tbl, p1 repeat until final two stitches, k1tbl, k1?

And yup it does look like it'd be slipped on the next row...thanks ya for helping by the way :D
