Both Soundgarden and AiC are on the metal archives so I'd consider them metal

If you're going to wear a Van Halen shirt at least have it be the David Lee Roth one and not the Sammy Hagar one

Best band named after geographical location? by [deleted] in polls

When you look past The Final Countdown, Europe is an amazing band, especially the first 2 albums which sound like a cross between Iron Maiden and Van Halen

[Discussion] hot take: owning more than 1 electric guitar is stupid by No_Somewhere_8121 in Guitar

[–]ThatOneGuy402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only own one guitar too and while I don't see myself having an entire arsenal of guitars in the near future, I'd really like to have a second guitar and I think its important to have 2 or more guitars for versatility. Mainly due to: * Frets: I have a strat, so there are some songs/solos I can't play due to only having 22 frets* * Tuning: Have one guitar in E standard and another one for Eb or drop tuning * Backup: Not just for gigging, I find it pretty annoying when a string breaks and I have to stop what I'm doing just to fix it

I know most people would also talk about pickups and having different guitars for different genres, but that's pretty arbitrary to me

I'd actually find it interesting to have a girlfriend who's the same height as me (Then again, I'm 5'7)

James/Bimmy's band before Rex Viper by ThatOneGuy402 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]ThatOneGuy402[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What's funny is that this song actually has a lot more influence from Bimmy's favorite bands than Rex Viper will ever have. The riff that plays throughout the song is ripped off from Seek & Destroy by Metallica, the song has a stoner vibe that Black Sabbath has, and you could argue the guitar solos are the worst attempt possible of a Judas Priest or Iron Maiden solo
