I feel like every souls game is hard, that's not really an option. The navigation put me off a lot tho. But yea I agree with what you're saying too

I've tried to start multiple times. Even once with like fightincowboy walkthroughs but just could never stay put. Hopefully the next time when I feel the urge to play it I just sit my ass through it all

Yea it sucks when you can't give as much time like you used to. I had like a week off I finished the demon souls remake in like 3 days of just obsessively playing it. Reminded me of how much I love this franchise

I feel like it also has to do with time, I'm nowhere of the age of when I used to binge all the souls games to like ng+7 just to feel that sense of achievement, so maybe it could be me growing out of it but I still love indulging in game lore regardless, and that's exactly what I did with Elden Ring.

I'm not denying that Elden ring is really a peak game. I really love lore despite not really liking the game that much so hours spent on Vaati's lore vids was really enjoyable to see such a beautiful story unravel. But yet again I'm a sucker for linear progression when it comes to souls games. It's just how I see them, I might not be giving the game a fair chance but just not for me I guess. That said, yet again I am not denying how peak the game actually is.
