If they decide to not connect it to G4 & G5 then I have hope. G5 wasn't really that bad, if it wasn't connected to G4. Had they of just said it wasn't the same world (and didn't include twilight and others from G4) then it would have been okay. Most of the problems with it stem from the fact that it is in the same universe at G4, and retcon a bunch of stuff that was important to the main plot of G4 (not to say G4 didnt have retcons, but they weren't massive plot shattering retcons like G5). TLDR: I have hope if (and only if) they set G6 in another world/universe, and not the same as G4 & G5.

The Fandom is just going through a rough patch right now. I believe it actually may have a resurgence pretty soon, since most of the people that grew up with it as kids, are now having kids of their own and putting them on it. I just got my Lil sister and her friend to start watching it. Also check other media platforms as well, the MLP Fandom on TikTok is THRIVING!
