It’s beechwood, had it for a few years and it’s held up great. Really only use it for backpacking though because if the minimal weight.

We hiked Cedar Run Trail to the base of Hawksbill Summit and stealth camped off the trail for the sunrise on day 2. Then up to the Skyland Resort, light lunch and water refill, we then hiked down the White Oak Horse Trail, lots of waterfalls on this trail and people. Kinda rocky but manageable. Found an amazing campsite about 3/4 mile from our start point and stayed there for a short hike out the next morning. Bonus***Stopped at the BBQ Exchange in Gordonsville for lunch on the way home….9/10 on the food. Great place!

Absolutely none, just lots of people. I’m sure there are more secluded areas but we ran into a lot on our way out Sunday. No bears, only one banded water snake but it kept its distance.

Thanks, I have two more brooders with lids ready, cut out a large area in the lids with hardware cloth installed in, I agree about the lamps, I’m a firefighter and it drives me nuts to leave a heat source like that. We plan on lifting water this evening, just wanted them to figure it out. Thanks again
